These flowers usually serve as platforms, and are recognisable by their dangling, tail-like stems and their ability to float. Their appearance varies considerably from game to game, but these characteristics always remain intact.&lt;br /&gt;

==Uses==&lt;br /&gt;
In [[Rayman 1|the original &#039;&#039;Rayman&#039;&#039;]], there are two types of nenuphars, both of which are found in [[the Dream Forest]]. The first type of nenuphar is large and stable, and can be used as a platform (they sometimes move back and forth, or up and down). The second type of nenuphar is smaller and does not move; this type is incapable of supporting [[Rayman]]&#039;s weight. If he steps on one, it will quickly sink, often leading Rayman to his death. There is one small nenuphar found in [[Moskito&#039;s Nest]] which, uniquely, rises when stood on, instead of sinking. In the PlayStation and Saturn versions, the small nenuphars that sink when Rayman stands on them have red bowties. In all other versions, they have pink bowties, like the large nenuphars.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In &#039;&#039;[[Rayman 2: The Great Escape]]&#039;&#039;, [[Rayman]] rides what appear to be nenuphars in [[the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava]]. They are large, pink, flying flowers with tentacle-like vines on their undersides. These nenuphars are shown to be vulnerable to fire.&lt;br /&gt;

In [[Rayman 3 (Game Boy Advance)|the Game Boy Advance version of &#039;&#039;Rayman 3&#039;&#039;]], two types of nenuphars appear. One is small, yellow and stable, and is found in the [[Forgotten Forests]]. The other is similar in appearance and function to the ones seen in &#039;&#039;[[Rayman 2: The Great Escape|Rayman 2]]&#039;&#039;; [[Rayman]] rides these in some of the [[Magmacosm]]&#039;s levels, which are not dissimilar from [[the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava]].&lt;br /&gt;

[[Rayman]] must travel through the &#039;&#039;[[Buccaneer]]&#039;&#039;, the [[Robo-Pirate]]s&#039; Prison Ship, to reach the [[Admiral Razorbeard]] and save [[Globox]]. The interior of this colossal ship is filled with poor wooden construction work, various metalworks, boilers, engines and computers, and many pools and tunnels of lava and fire. It is also where Rayman ultimately frees the Robo-Pirates&#039; slaves – at least 45,263 of [[the Glade of Dreams|the Glade]]&#039;s inhabitants were imprisoned there over the course of the invasion. The Prison Ship is the second-last level of the game, and is followed by the final battle with Razorbeard&#039;s [[Grolgoth]] atop [[the Crow&#039;s Nest]], another part of the &#039;&#039;[[Buccaneer]]&#039;&#039;.&lt;br /&gt;

This version is almost identical, except for including an extra cutscene at the end. In this new scene, Rayman arrives in the corridor seen at the start of the game when the pirates take Globox to the cell, to find the prisoners still caged. Rayman breaks out the prisoners, who are typically Baby Globoxs and Teensies, as well as the bird seen in the Fairy Glade. The Teensies can humorously be seen wearing Prison Uniforms. Rayman then tells the freed prisoners to get off the ship whilst he finds Globox and fights Razorbeard.&lt;br /&gt;

This version is almost identical, although it includes the cutscene that was introduced in the DC version, where Rayman rescues the prisoners from the beginning of the game. The ending is also slightly different, whereas originally Rayman hurried off to fight Razorbeard and the fate of the freed prisoners was never covered, here the group activates a portal and all exit, including Rayman. This clears up a minor inconsistency in other versions of the game, in that Rayman enters the Prison Ship but randomly returns to the Hall of Doors (having seemingly achieved nothing) and then enters a different portal to The Crows Nest. In Revolution, he leaves having freed the prisoners, and then returns to the ship VIA a shell to fight Razorbeard.&lt;br /&gt;

Interestingly, in this version of the game, The Prison Ship is the only level that can only be reached by a portal, having no entrances on any map.&lt;br /&gt;
