Rayman 2 : The Great Escape : Le Guide Officiel (Rayman 2: The Great Escape: The Official Guide) is a French book published by Cyber Press Publishing and authorised by Ubi Soft Entertainment.
This strategy guide, comprising 192 pages and over 1,000 full-colour images, is designed to help the player overcome the various challenges of Rayman 2, specifically the PlayStation, Dreamcast, PC and Nintendo 64 versions. It also contains a making of, an interview of the developers, a presentation of Rayman, cheat codes and a substantial amount of information on the world, the characters, the enemies, the weapons and the objects of the game.
Each level presentation is separated in two parts: A part for the PlayStation version and a part for the Dreamcast, PC and Nintendo 64 versions. In the second part, the exclusive content of each platform is detailed, like the location of the Globox Village and the Glob Crystals in the Dreamcast version. The screenshots of the second part come from the Dreamcast version. The presentation of the levels mixes the progression in the PlayStation version to the progression in the other platforms. So the Whale Bay comes before the Menhir Hills and the Gloomy Island comes before the Iron Mountains.
