A '''''Rayman'' játéksorozat''' egy akció-platformer játéksorozat. Készítője a francia játék designer [[Michel Ancel]], és minden egyes részét a [[Ubisoft]] adta ki. A játékok főhőse [[Rayman]], egy karakter akinek a sorsa a gonosz elleni küzdelem, és az univerzum egyensúlyának fenntartása. A játékok egy fantasztikus világban játszódnak, melyet [[Az Álmok Tisztásának|Az Álmok Tisztása]] hívnak, az isten, [[Polokus]] álmododtt a világba, és [[a Világ Szíve]]ként ismert misztikus kulcskövek tartják fenn.

A kezdetben csak a [[Lum]]ok léteztek - apró teremtények, melyek tiszta energiából állnak. Nagyon sok színben voltak jelen, mindegyik egyedi tulajdonsággal rendelkezett, de a legfontosabb az 1000 [[Sárga Lum]] volt. Egy nap a [[Lum]]ok egy pontba koncentrálták az energiáikat, és megalkották az istent, [[Polokus]]t (másnéven a Buborék Álmodót). [[Polokus]] ereje az volt, hogy a legapróbb gondolata is valóra vált. Az álmain keresztül (melyeket apró, barátságos lények, az [[Electoon]]ok alkották) megalkotta [[az Álmok Tisztása|az Álmok Tisztását]], a világot melyben a ''Rayman'' sorozat is játszódik.

Az Incrediballok a [[Szent Fá]]ról erednek, és [[Ősi Tojások]]ból kelnek ki. Ebben a játékban [[Rayman]] hangya méretűvé zsugorodik. A játékos feladata a pályák minél gyorsabb teljesítése, bogarakon és novényeken ugrálva.

Habár a történetet a játékon belül soha nem említik, az előzetesben láthatjuk, ahogy a [[Flaming Teensy|Lángoló Pöttöm]] varázslata miatt [[Rayman]] összezsugorodik. Az is kiderül, hogy [[Rayman]] feladata visszaállítani a varázslat hatását.

== Játékmenet ==
A korábbi telefonos játékokhoz hasonlóan, a karakter automatikusan fut a pályákon, a játékos feladata az akadályok elkerülése, illetve a [[Lum (UbiArt)|Lumok]] összegyűjtése. Azonban a ''[[Rayman Adventures]]''-el ellentétben, itt nincs lehetőség az irányváltásra, a ''[[Rayman Jungle Run]]'' és ''[[Rayman Fiesta Run|Fiest Run]]''-hoz hasonlóan csak egy irányba lehet haladni. Ha a játékos sikeresen összegyűjti a pályán található összes [[Lum (UbiArt)|Lumot]], egy [[Electoon]]-t kap jutalmul, mellyel új [[UbiArt játékok hőseinek és kinézeteinek listája|külsőket]] oldhat fel [[Rayman]], [[Globox]] és [[Barbara]] számára. A főellenségek legyőzéséért pedig egy [[Swag Coin|Swag Érmét]] kap a játékos, melyeket szintén [[UbiArt játékok hőseinek és kinézeteinek listája|külsők]] feloldására lehet felhasználni.

A játék összesen 6 világból áll. Minden egyes világban 8 pálya, és egy főellenség található. A hatodik világ csak akkor nyílik meg, ha a játékos az összes előző főellenséget legyőzte.

A leleplezés után a ''Rayman Mini'' kevert fogadtatásban részesült. Néháyan hálásak voltak, hogy [[Rayman]] még mindig létezik, míg másoknak nem tetszett, hogy ismét csak egy telefonos játékot kapunk egy új, teljes értékű játék helyett. Mikor a játék végre megjelent, a fogadtatás kevert maradt. A korábbi telefonos játékokhoz hasonlóan, a karakter automatikusan fut a pályákon, a játékos feladata az akadályok elkerülése, illetve a [[Lum (UbiArt)|Lumok]] összegyűjtése. Rayman eredetileg egy sportos karakter lett volna teljes testtel, de mivel nem tudta volna azt nyújtani mint az 1990-es konzoljátékok, ezért karok és lábak nélkül rakták bele a játékba, a testrészei a teste körül lebegnek. A 2011-ben kiadásra került ''[[Rayman Origins]]'' magyarázatot ad testrész nélküliségére: [[Betilla]] és a [[Nimfa|többi nimfa]] elvesztettek nagyon sok [[Lum|lumot]] és erőt, így ő végtagok nélkül született meg. Van egy nagy kerek orra, szőke haja ( a ''[[Rayman 3]]''-tól kezdve szőkés-vöröses ) amivel helikopterezni tud. Ezen kívűl a szeme sötétkék, a leghivatalosabb rajzokon inkább fekete, a Raymanből két képen világoskék színű. Míg Rayman általában egyedül szerepel a játékokban, van néhány ugyanolyan fajú lény, például: [[Tarayzan]], [[Zenész]] és a [[Bűvész]], valamint a felesége és a gyereke.
Mindig fehér kesztyűben, lila pulóverben látható, aminek közepén van egy [[Rayman Szimbóluma|"O" szimbólum]]. Sárga és fehér színű cípője van, vörös sálja, majd kapucnia, amik a széria közben többször is változtak. A ''[[Rayman Raving Rabbids]]''-ben többször is úgy tűnhet, mintha lennének lábai, például a DJ vagy Gengszter kosztüm miatt, ugyanis ott farmert hord. ===Személyisége===
Rayman személyiségére nem igazán derült fény, viszon nagyon vidám karakter jó humorérzékkel, mint ahogy legjobb barátja [[Globox]]. Azonban nagyon segítőkész és szereti venni az akadályokat hogy megmentse a világot. Néha elég gyerekes, főleg a ''[[Rayman 1]]''-ben, amikor [[Grimasz|grimaszol]]. A ''[[Rayman 2]]''-ben azonban már komolyabb és sokkal több mindenre képes. A ''[[Rayman Raving Rabbids]]''-ben sokkal inkább magával van elfoglalve, ahogy a [[Nyúl|nyulak]] sztárrá emelik a fogságában, bár miután megszökött, visszaemlékszik a [[Bébi Globox|Bébi globoxokra]], akiket maga mögött hagyott. A nyulak lehet emiatt zaklatják tovább őt a ''[[Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party]]''-ban.

Rayman eredete ismeretlen maradt egészen a ''[[Rayman Origins]]'' kiadásáig: [[Betilla]] és a [[Nimfa|többi nimfa]] hozta őt létre méghozzá azért, mert [[Polokus]] kérte tőlük, hogy alkossanak egy lényt, ami majd örökre kiűzi a gonoszságot a világból. A [[Nimfa|nimfák]] eközben nagyon sok [[Lum|lumot]] és erőt is elvesztettek, ezáltal Rayman nem teljesen ember lett, mivel nincsenek végtagjai ( karja, lába és nyaka ). Története nem igazán van, a lényege hogy a különböző, egyre nehezebb pályákon győzzük le NPC ellenfeleinket, akik a pályák nehézségével egyenes arányban erősödnek. Európában Rayman Multiplayer (M) a neve, de Amerikában átnevezték ''[[Rayman Arena]]''-ra (érdekesség: azért nevezték át, mert a szülők a piros M betűt MATURE-ként értelmezték, ami az angolban az idősebbnek szóló játékoknak a jele), és kissebb változtatásokat adtak a játékhoz, pl.: [[Dark Rayman]] külső.

A játék folyamán a győzelmekkel újabb karaktereket, pályákat, és külsőket nyithatsz meg a karakterekhez. A ''Rayman M'' játékban 4 karakternek nincs újabb külseje: [[Rayman]], Pengeszakáll ([[Razorbeard]]), Pengéné ([[Razorwife]]), Dili ([[Tily]]). Játszható karakterek: Rayman, Gombóc ([[Globox]]), Csatlós 800 ([[Hunchman 800]]), Pengeszakáll (Razorbeard), Pöttömök ([[Teensies]]). A címével ellentétben ez nem egy előzménye, hanem a folytatása a 3 játéknak. A [http://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Ubisoft Ubisoft] a 2010-es E3-on jelentette be, és ez az első fő Rayman játék a ''[http://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_Raving_Rabbids Raving Rabbids]'' óta. Ez az eredeti készítő, [http://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Michel_Ancel Michael Ancel] visszatérését is jelenti, aki az 1999-es ''[http://raymanpc.com/wiki/hu/Rayman_2:_The_Great_Escape Rayman 2]'' óta nem készített újabb ''Rayman'' játékot. A ''Rayman Origins'' az első játék a szériában ami együttműködő (co-operative) többjátékos módot is tartalmaz, amelyet egyszerre akár négyen is élvezhetünk.
