Rayman Revolution is notorious for frame-rate / slowdown issues. It is just not a very efficient engine, it seems. It affects real PS2 to some extent, and is worse in emulation. A real powerful PC may be required to get a good experience, equivalent to the console.

Rayman Revolution PAL framerate (PS2)
Hi,
I've recently gotten back into the Rayman franchise.
I picked up a used copy of Rayman Revolution, and literally threw that disc into PCSX2, but the framerate is very poor, seems to be a maximum of 25fps (100% speed).
I do have an actual PS2 console, but our projector doesn't have any analogue ...

I think I know what's causing that glitch. The 16:9 code disables frustum culling entirely so the Tribelle never de-spawns because it never gets culled out from view. I might be able to fix that glitch if I can figure out how to extend the culling distance just enough so no objects are visibly ...

Hi all,
New to the forums (long time lurker) but not new to the Rayman series.
In fact, Rayman 2 on PC was the first video game I ever played in my life!
I couldn't get Rayman 2 on PC working reliably, so I switched to Rayman Revolution.
It only runs at 25 FPS, but that's one for another topic ...
