Wow… Now that's a surprise…
I've initiated this whole project back in 2008, I've gradually lost interest because of too little skills and too few people interested in it.
Yesterday, I wanted to make an update about Rayman 1 on the Playstation 1 because I've documented a few things… and I see all of ...

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
I have to admit that I seriously hate all kinds of Rayman's Fan Projects (whatever they are games, music, comics, etc) because I'm always scared of the people messing with the magic of my childhood.
But so far, I have to admit I am very pleased with the screeshoots.

Re: Unlocking Rayman 1 (PC Version)
I've scanned the VIGNET.DAT file with a DOS tool called Multi Ripper v2.80 and it only extracted one correct .PCX file which was the background.PluMGMK wrote:The palettes for the backgrounds can be taken from the Rayman Designer PCX files.
So, I guess we have to work again on VIGNET.DAT.

You can also try another more recent (and legal, unless you paid like asked for PJ64 v1.7) N64 emulator.
I recommend you Mupen64Plus, tell me if R2 runs well on it.

Unlocking Rayman 1 (PC Version)
As the "Project: UnLockRay ( ULR / REL )" thread is getting more and more bloated and as it was only made for the announcement, I'm making a new thread to talk about all the work done so far.
Also I hope this will help people to start hacking on their on and, hopefully, make the project go on ...

Me too, I sent another mail with more explanation but the answer stay the same. Apparently, the CEO (or something similar) of System 3 was changed to Chandra Nair (the guy who sent me the answer) about a year ago. As we can read on the net , Chandra left school at 15 to became a "videogame shop ...

Company's view on releasing video game's source code
Hi everyone !
As some of you may know, I'm a part of thoses on the forum who want to send a letter to Ubisoft to see if they can release the source code of Rayman under free licence.
