I actually think that's one of the things I never missed in the game. I've missed tons in the various other levels, but oddly, I never missed the heli potion.

I just knew that every time something sparkled like that it triggered an event so I just sort of went with it?

The PSX version definitely handled the sound better, but otherwise it always seemed to me the PC version was far better despite only having played it once.

I remember seeing someone do a level hack where the background and platforms were all drawn on lined paper with a pencil. It was pretty cool, I'll have to find it again sometime.
