She didn't typed that, it was a notification on the app we used.
Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Oh, maybe she blocked you by accident.

You should'nt have posted pictures of you naked, it never do the trick.Bradandez wrote:Not too long ago, I was chatting with this girl I liked a lot. And you know what? I thought we hit it off pretty well. We talked about life, entertainment, and anything in between. But two-three weeks ago, it was the last time I chatted with her. She hasn't responded since. I did respect her space and just put our chat aside. It was last week when I managed the courage to start a conversation. I typed in "Hello, how's it going?" and what I got back was "You do not have permission to chat with this person". I was heartbroken to say the least. My mind rushed with "Oh my God, did I do something wrong?" and related phrases, you know. I never stepped onto creeper territory, as I stated, I respected her privacy/space. I'm not one to hold a grudge, so I got over it pretty quickly. But I'm still curious why she blocked me. Oh well.

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
I'm not really depressed about it, but a girl I knew was killed in a car crash in the New Forest over the weekend. She was 19. Although we had no connection, it has really put things in perspective for me. What a scary thing life can be.

Fuck, that sucks. I've encountered a few similar experiences so far and they have made me realise that there is eternally a sword dangling above all our heads. It doesn't make me paranoid - it's also nothing we should fear; but it's something that's good to be aware of: life is precious and it can be over in a heartbeat. Cherish whatever you have for as long as you can and don't you forget it!
I'm sorry for you Xenon.

Reminds me of my school, actually : we've had 2 suicides, an accidental death and a big coma in the span of one year. Sure, we are more than 3000 and are spread out into several centers across the country, but i still felt like shit when it happened. Plus the media tends to make a big deal out of this, when it is already happening a bit everywhere.
Sometimes, it motivates me in the sense that if it can happen to me, I'd better use and enjoy the time I'm having right now, so that if something happens I couldn't have any kind of regret.

That must feel really strange for you, saer.
The thing that scares me most about death is how it effects those left behind - the loss, the guilt, the sense of their own mortality. It's amazing how unexpectedly a life can vanish, possibly forever. No one can ever be fully prepared for the death of someone they know, no one can be ready for every eventuality.
I hope you'll be okay, Xen. That's really hard, even if she was an acquaintance.

I'm absolutely fine with it. It's just a bit of a wake up call I suppose. My feelings at the moment are pretty much how saer described: I've gained an understanding of how fragile life is and quickly something as dramatic as death can happen. Best to make the most of whatcha got!

My brother was actually close to one of them, that certainly wasn't funny.saerleiya wrote:Reminds me of my school, actually : we've had 2 suicides, an accidental death and a big coma in the span of one year.

Lil' update about Bubbles the delinquent kitty. The neighbour further down has unofficially adopted him and made him a little house in their front garden. He has food every morning and evening and a warm, fluffy place to sleep at night. The baby is looking much, much healthier already.
I am so relieved.

Funnily, according to your description, this baby looks like he is temperamental and spoiled. Arf, forgive meJewish Candy wrote:Lil' update about Bubbles the delinquent kitty. Correction for the delinquent!

Ehhh? He's had a hard life on the streets! There's nothing spoilt about Bubbles, he's a little bruiser!
Said little house is a temporary structure and was built because he's ridden with disease, so he can't go in people's houses.
Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Ah, I didn't know he was homeless before. I understand better now :3.
Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Update: I questioned him about it and apparently she's "scared of him" for some reason.iHeckler9 wrote:My sister just blurted out over Facebook chat that Hoodie (my inactive brother) and his girlfriend have split up...4 weeks ago.
Nobody mentioned anything to me.
Coupled with the fact that dad's suffering from a sudden outbreak of anxiety and mum's getting stressed over everything, the house is literally a fucking time bomb ready to burst.
My sister is now telling me to go up and hug him. This would likely result in the ENTIRE FOUNDATION OF OUR FAMILY COLLAPSING.
gaaaaaaaaaaaah what the fuck do i do

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
It is one of the most terrifying but also beautiful aspects of life: it has an end; we just don't know when it comes. One of my close friends is an incredibly lucky sod, having survived the most freakish accidents (think impalement, fire, drowning, falling - he could be the star of a live-action slapstick comedy film) and I'm all the more grateful (to whatever's been keeping him alive - I'd like to imagine he has an incredible will to survive) for it. I have friends who have lost parents... I recently experienced my very first death in the family. Death has been very present throughout my life, having had young kittens pass away and having walked away from some scary situations myself. And it's alright, you know? It's good to remember what you have and what you could lose. It's also good to know there is no eternal suffering, there is a peaceful final chapter.Jewish Candy wrote:The thing that scares me most about death is how it effects those left behind - the loss, the guilt, the sense of their own mortality.
I just hope I get to live out my life to its fullest potential. I'd hate to have to go before I've experienced a number of things that I hope I'll meet throughout my years.

Seeing a dead body on the freeway because of a car accident isn't helping me overcoming my fear of driving.
Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
You're not alone, one day I was traveling with my family in our car and then, we saw a guy with the cut arms.
