Ah, I see.

On the topic of Wii games, I think Ninty was particularly clever in offering the Metroid Prime: Trilogy, as Brad stated, it's a really rare game to get due to its limited run. If Ninty plays the Wii game card as it has there, it could mean that titles which were otherwise inaccessible to the masses could be readily accessible. Time will tell whether or not it'll turn out good, but I think their initial offerings were pretty clever.

Omar, since you are user of that, can you confirm me is it safe to update Wii U after installing GameCube Emulator? Like if new system update comes out, will Emulator still work or not? Because from what I know, Wii U system updates are mainly for Wii U mode and not for vWii mode.

I'm certainly glad we have official GameCube controller adapters released for the Wii U. I would think this would simply open the door to allow Nintendo to offer GameCube compatibility again on their own.

Yes, please!

As a collector I also prefer to own the physical copies. I don't know, I think there's still that magic of unboxing a game you really wanted to play and have a quick look to the paper manual/quick start guide. It might sound silly or feel psychological but it contributes for a better enjoyment of the game I'm playing. There's also the advantage of being able to resell it if for some reason I dislike it and want to recover some money back.

I normally only turn myself to digital games either if they are digital exclusive or more accessible to get than a physical copy (if there is a significant monetary difference between both copies). There was also the BG&E's case, where I got gifted on STEAM to try out. I liked the game so much that I decided to look for the physical copy for PC and get it. I also ended buying the HD version for PS3.

ViiU updates only affects the Wii U part. The vWii part to my knowledge stays untouched.
Also a little sidenote: The official Gamecube adapter works with Nintendont :D

So if I install Nintendont, I can still forever normally use Wii U, play online, download from eShop? Awesome, I need to take time once and install it then.

Anyone else think Mario Sunshine should get a 3DS remake?
I don't know about other people, but I love that game. I don't have a GC any more, and my normal Wii is broken...

I personally like digital copies more, just because they're handy, simple, won't get scratched/broken and in my case (I play mostly on PC) cheaper. You also can't lose them like I always do with GB/DS games...

I think Mario Sunshine should get Wii U HD remake instead like Wind Waker did. N64 remakes are more suited for 3DS while GameCube remakes are for Wii U more suited. At least my opinion.

What, you don't think they should have done Wind Waker HD?

I doubt Nintendo would do any more HD remakes. Wind Waker was one of the first Wii U games so I think Nintendo was just rushed about getting any Zelda title for Wii U.

Btw. Wind Waker HD is AWSOME!

I never said that. What I said was that because Mario Sunshine was on GameCube it should get HD remake like Wind Waker did and not 3DS remake.
I also said that 3DS is more suited for N64 remakes like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask and that Wii U is more suited for GameCube remakes.

The point of my comment was that I support HD remakes and not that I don't. I don't understand what made you think I said I didn't want Wind Waker HD. It is a good thing it exists and Nintendo should remake more GameCube games for Wii U on same way.

Hmm, though honestly I wouldn't mind having Ocarina of Time HD on the Wii U if they did that. A lot easier for folks who can't tolerate the itty bitty 3DS screens.

Ocarina of Time is very well at home on 3DS, and I feel like I'm the only one whose really glad with Majora's Mask being remade on 3DS rather than Wii U, it makes so much more sense considering it's predecessor being released on 3DS.

Anyways really is a shame Club Nintendo is going down, but if you think about it, it really isn't a huge loss either, the amount of coins they charged for the smallest things was outright ridiculous. But hey, that's Nintendo.

I can honestly see why would Americans be disappointed with Club Nintendo going.
I mean, it was so awesome compared to European one. You even get free games sometimes as a reward and can spend coins for getting eShop games too. European one offers codes but only compatible for Wii and DSi and do not work with Wii U and 3DS, I mean WTF? And no free games ever. Hopefully new alternative service will offer current eShop games as a rewards worldwide.

I must agree with this too. The ammount of star points they were charging here for the best goodies was insanely high. For you having an idea, to get a goodie that was costing 7000 Star Points you would have to buy about 28 different copies of Nintendo games with unused PIN codes. That would represent an average of 1680€ of Wii U game copies! I would rather prefer that the star points system would revive as spendable points to get eShop games, I think I would get some Virtual Console classics like that.

What sucks that you can only register one copy of a game to your account. If you try to use another code of the same game, it won't let you. This didn't apply with consoles though.

There is a high chance that Flipnote Studio 3D will launch without any of the main online components already.
On both the American and European official websites, all traces of the online galleries have been completely removed and ignored which were displayed before.

Nintendo really hates online communication on 3DS. I believe it is connected to the fact that Letter box also disabled it in 2013.
