Meh, I had some interesting ones recently, but all my memory of them has evaporated.

Whenever that happens I usually write them down here as quickly as possible. This thread has become my dream journal, heh.

Since I don't get much time in the mornings, I usually don't get the chance. I'll be brief on this one, was running late for uni, saw my old tutor from High School. I do wish I could thank her for all she helped me through...

This morning I dreamed I was in a restaurant upstairs in some building with my grandmother. I think it was part of a funeral celebration. Anyway, the waiter was French. My conversation (I can be awkward in restaurants IRL too) with him switched between English and French a few times, I believe.
The interesting part is that I then somehow became aware that my father was about to come and wake me up (well I must have heard the sound of him getting up himself). So then I started refusing to talk, attempting to communicate nonverbally that this was a dream and I was afraid to keep talking in case I was heard in the real world and embarrassed myself. What's amusing is that I felt the need to explain myself to a figment of my imagination.

Xenon, you say you visited an environment in a dream that seemed familiar. Is it possible that you'd been there in a previous dream which wasn't in your conscious memory? This is the conclusion I often reach when I dream of surreal yet familiar places.

That's awesome. That's the kind of shit that only protagonists in novels do!

Maybe it's related to the trashy spy novel I'm reading then!

I am Pilgrim
Bought it on the recommendation that it is an excellent read but that it "makes Dan Brown look like Gore Vidal". Can't really argue against that for the moment!

My last dream was me walking down the hallway and suddenly seeing Dido (one of my two kittens who got taken by coyotes last year) walk around the corner, miraculously alive, but shaking, barely able to hold himself up, and eyes bloodshot. I stood in shock for a moment, but before I could get to him, he went limp and fell over, unmoving.

I'm only thinking about them more and more as time goes by.

That's funny, I dreamed of a cat who died too. It wasn't as morbid as that though.

February 8, 2015:

Had a dream that I was in an abandoned school were the spirits of kids who burned in the building. Some weird things occur, weird ghosty stuff. Then, I was suddenly at home. I had a fight with my brother and that's when I woke up.

I have a dream journal, too! Though I only write down the dreams I feel are significant; or, more specifically, the ones i feel are from God.

I had an RPC dream last night, though I'm not sure why it involved you guys. There was a ball and I was the best dancer and the best dressed and all the girls and boys wanted to dance with me. Then there was a 'waltz', but it wasn't a waltz, it was a mazurka and in my righteous anger I mazur'd all around the place like a pro. (I don't know how to dance mazurka.) I haven't had Mary Sue dreams in a while, it was really fun!
And now the dream appears to have been a premonition, as I might actually being going to a ball soon... :hehe:

I dreamzed something about setting up a party for my sister and smuggling cocaine... there was a tent/marquee... that's all I remember. Oh and my sister was a tremendous bitch so I ratted her out

I dreamt I was a member of the 506th legion of the empire, me and my team was.sent on mygeeto to secure an holocron that contained the plans of the death stars.

When I arrived on the battlefield, the separatists droids was crushing my clone brethren.

I screamed "Follow Me" and the troops covered my back, we destroyed many of them, then, the CIS sent the sniper droids, many of my men died, leaving me wounded, and alone, I've found a cover nearby and I was barely moving.
Then, the reconciled droids arrived and I had to escape.

When thought all hope was lost, a Jedi master arrived to save me and I brought the holocron to lord Vader

He was quite impressed by my achievement

Ok, so I had to take a math exam in real life, and dreamt about it just the night before:

First of all, I missed the train and almost came in late. When I arrived, I met a former classmate of mine (who doesn't even study), and in total, we were like 6 people taking the exam. Also, for some reason, it started 13:00 in my dream (as opposed to 12:00). It was 14:40 then (in case you wonder, I had a look at my watch in the dream), I was just halfway through the thing, and the prof went: "Okay, so this is supposed to take 3 hours, but we'll just stop now." My former classmate got super pissed off, and stormed out of the room. I was pretty angry too, because it was an important exam and I could only get half the points at best. Then the prof continued: "... also, we're not going to count this as an exam, but instead - remember that training unit we did some time ago?" Then she went over to me, said: "Well, you should have explained it in more detail", and handed me a sheet of paper, on which I appearently had written down ONE SINGLE FORMULA.

Then I couldn't take it anymore and woke up. At 5:28 am. After 3 hours of sleep. :pfff:

By the way, reading mine and some of the other dreams here, I think it's incredible how you can dream stuff like that. You'd expect yourself to go "Nope, can't be real!" during your dream, and then... well, who knows what would happen.

It took me ages to get to sleep last night, partly because my mind decided to occupy itself with a logical puzzle that I knew the answer to and half understood but couldn't quite work out that remaining other part. It was very distressing. Once I did fall asleep, I had a dream about magnolia - designing a costume that utilised fresh magnolias. Colour palettes, the logistics of the thing, etc. Except my brain got magnolia confused with roses, so I in fact invented a hybrid flower with all the advantages of both...

I have a feeling the scenes are simply an amalgamation and a mix up of many familiar places in real life, but yeah, your theory is definitely possible too.

I've had dreaming where I can actually take control because of knowledge that it's all fabrication. For example a few weeks ago I dreamt that I was rushing home to go to a really cool party, but was hit by a car in transit. In that dream, I thought to myself, "wait, this is just a dream, I shouldn't have to accept this" and was able to rewind!
