Yeah the PS2 version adds more atmosphere...Jewish Candy wrote:For the first time ever, < is enamoured with the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava (Beneath the Lava Sanctuary in this version, I think?). < liked it before, but now... the visuals, the music, all very abandoned-temple-ey.
< wonders if ^^^ is playing it on an actual PS2

Re: The You Game!
< Has played like 4 different Versions of R2, but has never played Revolution for some reason despite how much good < has heard about it.
< has a few more games for his Vita besides minecraft, < got an adventure pack thing that came with five games, like uncharted and gravity rush, though < mostly bought it for the 8 GB memory card, though < also bought Little Big Planet at the same time, and Borderlands 2 vita edition finally arrived this morning. < has only played LBPand Borderlands so far though. As someone who has never played a LBP game before < thinks its okay, < imagines would enjoy it more once < has got past the tutorial levels but good god it's taking forever.
Borderlands is just as fun as it's always been but the port is really meh, < has no ideae how people get so good with console shooter control's because < finds them nearly unbearable, besides that though, the game runs around 25 fps, which is bearable but < really wishes they would have lowered the texture quality a little more to at least try and get 30 fps. Also it only comes with the first two story DLC's, and as far as I know you can't get the remaining two story DLC's, Big game hunt and assault on Dagon Keep, don't mind the ommision of big game hunt to much that really wasn't that great ofa dlc, but Dragon Keep is easilly the best DLC for the game and I'm sad its not on the vita version.

< is all for that until it causes words to be redundant, and ideas to be left without a word to describe them. Such as <'s irritation with a common use of the word "disinterested" being no different from "uninterested", now if < wants to describe something as "disinterested", < is left without a word to accurately put this across.Jewish Candy wrote:^^ knows very well that < is well on the descriptivist side of linguistics.MrBadGuy wrote:< is again assuming ^ means that ^ is envious

Re: The You Game!
Fair enough, though < sees that as a very natural part of language evolution and < will always prioritise the colloquial. We do fine with just 'you' rather than 'thou/you', don't we? Jealous and envious have been near-synonymous for quite a long time now. And < knows disinterested can still be and is still used in the sense you want to use it.MrBadGuy wrote:< is all for that until it causes words to be redundant, and ideas to be left without a word to describe them. < wonders, should the need to distinguish those concepts becomes big enough again, will we reassign jealous and envious or borrow from another language...
