7.8/10 Too much Picture City. Blimey, those pink eraser platforms are overwhelming in such numbers.

Yich, that video was making me physically nauseous. Couldn't watch passed 0:20.

Re: Rayman Origins
It's really messy and unorganized. Nothing consistent about the design at all.
Re: Rayman Origins
I must say, the idea of that mod is good, but... well... I think it would look better if the ground wasn't so full of different things.

Re: Rayman Origins
They're trying to use blocky tiles on smooth organic ground, it's not an aesthetically pleasing combination.
Re: Rayman Origins
So what I'm getting at is that Rayman 1 does not hold up aesthetically? Yes! *Misunderstanding Victory Dance*

Re: Rayman Origins
More like incompatible with RO's design as they are. Though I imagine it could be adapted.

Re: Rayman Origins
? Is it really that bad, I appreciate the effort put into it quite honestly, it's not excellent, but it isn't bad either.Haruka wrote:Yuck, what a poor mod.Bradandez wrote:Sadly, I only have Xbox 360, PC, 3DS, and Wii versions.

Re: Rayman Origins
No it's confirmed. Rayman 1's art style is bad and does not hold up in modern times. 3/10

Re: Rayman Origins
Shut the fuck up Brad
Anyways... the problem goes down to the fact she or he tried to clump in far too many textures, to the point of it being really nauseating, it really does make my head hurt a bit. It has too much detail to the point of just being too much.

Re: Rayman Origins
So you're telling me R1's style is factually bad in your eyes? Great... moving on. Plus I'm practically agreeing with you it is a bit of a meh mod.
I'm not an artist, I'm just offering critique. However, I do love art itself, which is why I'm fascinated in all art forms. However I myself, cannot draw. I just like to examine it. Which is why I've always been a massive fan of R2's really dark but vibrant style, and why I love the game so much.

One day a user will join with the exact likeness of Brad's mind and they will fall in love with each other and be the happiest couple on the whole wide forum.

Oh and then how our sarcasm will go unnoticed to everyone else.

Also, Brad. The R1 graphical style is not even the question of the problem of that mod but yes the way the textures are placed. I really don't know why "an artist's opinion is more relevant" was brought up for such an obvious thing that even a kid can notice there's something wrong. Sometimes it is preferable to not say anything than making a sad figure, this an advice.
