Yeah I felt sick with worry for most of yesterday. He has had a few health problems but nothing that was related to this problem yesterday.

Thanks <3 - Well he's staying tonight, and I'm not sure how much longer he'll need to stay. Apparently they're not happy with the blood results or something

I hope he's able to come home soon then
Hospitals aren't fun, especially if you're elderly.

Thanks , me too! Nope, they're to be avoided at all costs! Hopefully I'll have no need to post in this thread again with regards to this subject, because that means things are on the mend.

Would you mind elaborating more on the problem(s) that you're facing? I remember hearing bits and pieces of it, and being reminded of myself by a lot of what you've said/felt, but I was also going through a sort of awkward identity crisis period and never actually got to say anything very useful.Dark Lum Lord wrote:I'm still alive. I shouldn't have said anything, I'm sorry. I came close a few weeks ago when I ran out of school and into the road, but I know it won't ever truly happen. I'd say a lot more right now, but I'm too exhausted to rant (Plus, I've probably bothered others enough by now.). I think I'm going to leave the forum in general... I like all of you, but I just don't feel like I belong here. I don't really feel like I belong anywhere, but that's besides the point. I appreciate the replies, though.

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
So it looks like my Grandfather might have to stay in hospital another night. We've heard they've changed his medication, we're not sure yet if that means he's got another infection or they've just narrowed down what he has and given more specific antibiotics. I've watched enough [H]ouse to know that when a patient comes in, they need to treat but they don't have time to wait for the test results so where appropriate they treat with broad-spectrum antibiotics. I'm assuming that's what's happened here, and now the blood-work has come back they've been able to identity what infection it is and give more specific antibiotics. - Well I hope I'm right on that front, and I really really do hope it's not another infection on top of the current one.

Good health to your gramps, roles!
But... don't take medical advice from House... doctors don't actually go into your home to investigate whether or not you have some weird mould they hadn't thought of yet that somehow explains your condition, either.

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Thanks Shroob. Haha don't worry I don't believe that what happens on House is how real life doctors operate
Although the show for the most part is pretty accurate medically.
Sit rep: They've moved my Grandfather into a lower grade ward (good sign) and with any luck he might be out tomorrow, but it really depends on how positive the tests are. Thanks for the support everybody, this is a really stressful time for my family

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Thanks Master. It will be nice when this can all be forgotten about and he's back home and properly stable. I just want things to go back to normal more then ever. I'm not doing too badly, but I still am worrying quite a bit. Things are looking as if they're going to be okay, but I always like to prepare myself for the worst.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Thanks. - also sorry to everyone for sort of dominating this thread atm, but hey I guess that's a good sign that nobody else really is sharing anything. Well although that doesn't mean bad things are happening... ah I think I need to shut-up
Anyway here's the SitRep: He came out of hospital a couple of days ago, seems to be stable. Having a bit of trouble walking properly, but that's seeming to improve. There is now a rash though, which we suspect is from medication but we're gonna have to get that sorted out. Fingers crossed yet again

My grandad developed bedrash from lying in hospital too when he was taken in last time. Hope it's just medication - in his case it turned into bed sores. Ow...

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
daily mlee moan in 3 2 1
ok basically my performance studies class are really getting on my nerves in their general attitude towards me etc. some of them just ignore me which is cool tbh like if you don't want to talk to me that's fine? sometimes people just don't click i'm not offended
the rest of them though are kind of like. you know when you have people who like. "oh this person has ~~special needs~~ we must be SUPER NICE and MATERNAL" and basically really fucking patronising.
like idt they even know i'm not neurotypical (i'm pretty sure by now i have asperger's but i'm not in a position to get that checked out just yet oxo) (and at any rate they don't KNOW that afaik??? they just know i have type 1 adhd) (if that) like if it's actually what they're doing as opposed to me being paranoid than it's based more on assumption than anything else?
on the plus side holly has finally shut up about me being gay (or a You Know What) so i guess that's a good thing :')

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
Bleh that sucks. Can you straight up tell them you don't like the way they're treating you or does that not work for you?
Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
So why do they have an attitude with you? Is it something you've told them about yourself or are you just a victim of classroom bitchiness?

Re: Something Bothering you?/Daily Doldrums
i don't actually know??
i mean it's possible that they've figured out that i'm not quite right in a sense becuase idk how...normal?? i act around people? it's possible that it's incredibly obvious and i just can't tell? i can't think of any reason it would be that specific attitude. oxo bitchyness is different bc that depends on the attitude of the person? so i could understand that but
