I don't have the History of Rayman, but I do recall someone mentioning about how RO was born from Ancel wanting to take a break from BG&E2, it doesn't necessarily indicate a preference.

Still, I think that claim that Ancel would rather purchase rights from Ubisoft for BG&E than Rayman is false.

I don't think he necessarily prefers one or another, and it's not in our place to assume he plays favourites. They're clearly both franchises which hold a dear place to him, and I don't think he'd be happy to let either of them go.

That's right, Master. He cherishes everyone of his creations. Even the Rabbids.

You misinterpret my stance on the Rabbids. I don't hate them, at all. I enjoyed RRR back when I was a kid on PS2. I just don't think they fit with the Rayman universe.

No, no. I want trying to misinterpret you, I was just saying in general, Ancel cherishes all of his creations.

Ah, so I'm misinterpreting, sorry.
But yeah, I think it's a bit presumptuous for us to claim Michel would go one way or another.

He always seems to treat BG&E with such passion compared to Rayman, which is sort of just his creativity zone (or so it seems).

Such a light claim though, I'd expect Ancel to buy both in the end, whichever is cheapest first I guess.

What makes you think there was no passion in making Rayman 2 for example? Show me evidence.

Exactly Brad.
Darkhairwarrior, I am sorry to say it, but your claims are bullshit.

I don't have evidence, just speculation from the way he talks about Rayman and the way he talks about BG&E. And yes, obviously like any other artist, he has a serious passion for all his creations, but in comparison, methinks he cares just a tad bit more about BG&E.

I mean, Rayman 2 took, what, 2-3 years of development? The dude's been working on BG&E2 since before 2008, and is even upping it to next (current) gen. Usually an incredible amount of soul is poured into a game when it's development is that long. Any normal dev would have scrapped the project by now, but Ancel is treating it with a serious passion, like it's his life mission.

And like I said, it was just a light claim. I didn't mean it in a "He absolutely loves BG&E miles more than that abortion, Rayman" kind of way, more of a "He's been working a lot harder on Beyond Good & Evil so his focus may be shifted" kind of way.

I never said Rayman wasn't creative, in fact, I said the opposite. Rayman is literally Michel Ancel's creative getaway.

Speaking of Rayman Legends: Does anyone own the console exclusive skins on the 360 version? If I could get a save file containing data of the exclusive skin being the currently equipped one, I could try to isolate it's code and perhaps make it available in the PC version as well (that is, if the PC version contains the entire coding of said skins, of which I'm fairly positive after managing to enable UbiRay).

I actually have it! Though, isn't the skin linked to the account/online service and not the disc?

It is, but it doesn't matter. I only need the save file to know what the actual coding of the skin is. You see, the save files are having a structure somewhat like this:

Username : "Something"
Score: "lum number" "cage number"
Equipped Skin: "UbiRay"

Of course instead of this, everything are numbers. Now, if I could have a save file which contains the coding of an exclusive skin as the equipped one, I could try to see if it works in the PC version as well. Like I said, if the data of said skins is in the PC version, there's a strong possibility that they are playable as well, if we can get to enable them. UbiRay works like a charm and further testing proved that he can be seen on the leaderboards as well. If you give me a friend request on UPlay, you can see it yourselves in-game. :)

If you do have the skin, first equip it, save your game and try to send me the file. I'm not entirely sure how the save file can be transfered from 360 to PC though, but I'm sure that there's a way to do so.

Can Mario skin be somehow used in PC version?

Ah, so it's not just a reskin of something else, but applying the inherent skin itself? Right then, colour me intrigued.

Considering how Ninty's very twitchy about that sort of thing, I sincerely doubt it. I remember they denied the use of their properties in another game simply because the pitch was shown on a PS2.

If the PC version has the skin data, then it's not impossible. The way I managed to make UbiRay playable is that I forced the game through the coding of my save file to use UbiRay instead. The save data is edited to have UbiRay equipped and it stays that way until I manually change my skin in the Heroes room.
I would need a Wii U save file containing the Mario or Luigi skin as the equipped skin, get it's coding and see if the skin can be enabled in the PC version as well.

I see. I have no knowledge of transferring data from the 360 to PC, but I can learn.

Now only if we have some here with the Assassin Ray skin and the Avelina skin.

With using Horizon, I was able to transfer 360 data (demos removed from the Marketplace) which I downloaded to my PC from certain forums to the storage space of my UNMODDED 360. It also works the other way around as you can edit and remove the data written onto your USB (but your USB has to be formatted by the 360 to be able to contain this data in the first place of course). Here's what you should try.

1. Get Horizon. (free version is more than enough) https://www.horizonmb.com/
2. Format your pendrive with your 360.
3. Copy your Rayman Legends save (having equipped the exclusive skin) to your formatted pendrive.
4. Use Horizon to save the file from your pendrive and send it to me.
