iOS was a decent port, looks like someone was a t0tal n00b.

Besides the touch controls, the iOS was decent and was not harder than any other ports.

Yep. The IOS version, graphically and gameplay wise was good. The only problem? I've said it before but it truly isn't designed for people with abnormal large thumbs like myself. No matter WHAT you do, that lock on strafing mechanic will NOT work with thumbs like mine. It's not like locking on is essential for Rayman 2, but fuck it's annoying. So unfortunately the IOS version is practically unplayable for me. The only portable versions of R2 I can play is the semi-decent 3DS port and the PS1 version on my PSP.

I'd go far enough to say the 3DS port was pretty good. It played well, I had no trouble with glitches (except for the 1000th Lum glitch, but even then it's not even game breaking), it looked great, and I had fun with it. I got it when it was on sale for like $7.49, but I wouldn't pay full price for it ($30). Sure the console ports are superior, but this is the best port for a handheld device.

The full game was $30,-? What a ripoff.

It was a launch title, if memory serves.

It's cheaper than the default prices of other games, $40.

Given the sub-par quality of recent ports, I'm beginning to wonder if this whole set-up is one of Brad's sneaky schemes.

Yeah, I'm with Roles, how many freaking ports were made of Rayman 2? 10? I think so.
And yes Rayfist, I couldn't even lock in the enemies in the iOS version, I was like half-an-hour trying to lock in, but still I couldn't. #deception

Well, there's
  • PC
  • N64
  • DC
  • PS1
  • PS2
  • DS
  • 3DS
  • iOS
So that's 8 ports/versions of the game. 9 if you include the GBC game that's actually a completely different game.

Isn't there a PSP port and a PS3 port as well?

Ah no Shrooblord, Imco is correct. It's a PSone Classic in the PS Store. It's not a "port" at all, it's just an emulation. Rayman 1 and Rayman Arena, and I do believe, though I dunno why and it's the same price as both mentioned before, Revolution. However, I'm not sure if Revolution is in the Store...possibly a no.
