The writing in Rick & Morty is phenomenal. Are we watching the same shows?

I'd assume that it's the same show called "Rick and Morty"?

I couldn't stand the writing, it was very repetitive, although I didn't watch much of it. The same joke throughout of the old guy being drunk didn't do it for me

Gotta say I agree with Brad on Adventure Time's art style, though I've watched it only once, I see enough ads and references to be reminded of it.

Hmm, I'd be excited, but seeing as Cartoon Network's still doing some daft things, like crossing over Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa, I'm going to be cautiously optimistic.

me too
It's an acquired taste, but I really enjoy it. The character dynamics are the whole point of the show. And Lapis just needs a break, poor thing...

aaahhh man i know!! the designs and the dynamics are SUPER cute (although i can't say i like pearl much oops) (hopefully i'll warm to her)

lapis needs comfortable pyjamas and really good quality toffee ice cream and i stand by this statement

still gonna marry her. grabs her and runs off to the moon.

I like all of the gems in their own way, they've all got their flaws (well, Garnet's flawless) and problems to work through.

Hmm, given how AT seems to be a little unsure of itself at present after the Dad arc, I'm not wholly sure whether or not I'm feeling overtly optimistic about this.

Eh, I guess it's good for fans, but Adeventure Time is not an entertaining show for me.

quick, somewhat (very?) spoilery rant about steven universe given the events of joyride:

[ why are the gems so worried about peridot again?? literally all they've mentioned if i'm correct since the events of jailbreak is peridot. have they just...totally forgotten about jasper? her obviously being peridot's boss? yellow diamond??? i mean granted jasper is at the bottom of the ocean as of rn but for how long? the stability of a fusion depends on how compatible the people involved are and if opal diffused so quickly (considering i'm sure pearl and amethyst don't hate each other so much as are mildly annoyed by the other) how fucking long is malachite going to stay together if jasper and lapis despise each other? they're probably apart like. rn. they would have lasted idk an hour???

okay granted jasper isn't a threat rn. there isn't much they CAN do apart from go after peridot. i understand this. but they're literally acting like she's the main threat here, haven't breathed a word about jasper or yellow diamond or....anything really?? it was made p obvious in return/jailbreak that peridot is just...the tech guy. lmao. she's the fucking teen prodigy military brat and i'm fairly sure the gems have more important things to worry about.

idk i mean i know why they're going after peridot but they're not even discussing the events of jailbreak or anything? no hushed mumblings about what yellow diamond wants with them? nobody thought to point about how unstable malachite is? no?

apart from which what are they going to fucking do with peridot when they get her. i would HOPE killing isn't really their style. are they going to lock her in the basement and interrogate her??/ i. i don't know. i don't know why they're so focused on it i guess.

i mean it probs makes sense and i'm prob just being dumb. but.

Speaking of SU, I gotta get this unimportant tidbit off my chest.

[Jasper is so fucking gorgeous I can't even.

She's an abusive, arrogant, abusive, callous, abusive abuser and the fact that people ship her with Peri or Lapis(!?!) is deeply disturbing - she should be single until she can learn how to be remotely decent - but oh god I am leaking from every pore of my body. I want her like I haven't wanted a cartoon lady in a long, long time. Ay.

oh my gosh. oh my gOSH CANDISH NO. xD

[while i don't quite share the same enthusiasm for jasper as you do (all my love goes to lapis and peridot my wiVES) i will admit that she is pretty darn gorgeous, yes. dem muscles tho.

lapis/jasper can personally go burn imo. i wouldn't mind jasper/peri as much but. people on tumblr keep joking about it in a reaLLY abusive way (eg; "imagine jasper punching peridot across the room" actual post. and like. i really cannot get behind that.

that and peridot is also mine and nobody else can have her

To be honest [I would never have thought that I'd fall for someone like Vegeta McCrazy Face so easily, but... them muscles, them lips, them THIGHS and oh god her expressions are golden. I cannot WAIT for the redemption arc, as long as it doesn't involve Lapis fixing her with the power of stockholm syndrome love. It's depressing that these sorts of ships gain traction.

Peridot's pretty cool and Lapis is a cuddle muffin. I'm looking forward to meeting jaggedy Yellow Diamond though.

Meanwhile, LOK is definitely over, and Star Wars: Rebels' first version only lasted 13 episodes and is also over.

Nah, Arrow and The Flash will keep me busy in the meantime (even if there was a stop for an entire month...the hell are ya doin' CW?)

Hmm, on the Peridot thing, I think the reason why they're mostly concerned about her is because she's the largest threat to them at present. With Malachite being imprisoned, Peridot's the only one who could potentially contact homeworld and request for further assistance, that, or there is the Kindergarten...
