I only prefer the open-area version of the final boss because the PS1 version was incredibly predictable and easy. I also kinda prefer the PS1 version at the same time because you can take a hit.

Really I'm not a big fan of either haha, they were good fights and all but I like it when the final boss battles incorporate all of your skills at once, like in Rayman 1, Origins and 3, apart from the final phase.

I never experienced such an issue with my own Revolution copy.

I have the disc version too. The black label PAL version to be exact.

I wonder if it has anything to do with my slim PS2?

I always like racing the lava baths against the wall of the tunnels when Razor throws them at me. Granted, most of the fight is exciting for me because I add that extra difficulty myself, but I guess that's the fun in the power of the gamer - if it's too easy, you can always make up little rules to make it more challenging. I think Razor's fight allows for that nicely.

I like the part when the gorilla falls down by its own means and proves that apes are inferior, even in the fictional world of Rayman.

I'm going to plug in my dreamcast tonight to see if I have the same problems with you for the lighting, as I don't recall any of them, and the DC version is far superior imo.

Also "shitty" minigames. In comparison to the annoying Baby Globox minigame that has you repeatedly mashing the same buttons, I'd say these minigames were way more fun to play.

I never liked the bonus of the classical R2. The only one I could pass was the one of the Marshes. What is wrong with the NTSC game? I never had light issues!

I haven't had any lighting issues either, but who knows? Maybe we never noticed it, I'll be checking tonight because Ad has mentioned this quite a few times and I'm VERY curious.
