I think I only played Rayman 2 with the emulator, so, useless to buy a Dreamcast for one game that I probably will not find. (There isn't a lot of old games in the shops which be in my city, there was one but it is closed..

Re: Rayman 2
I prefer to use an emulator, if it's only for Rayman 2, don't buy a Dreamcast, it should be useless and you will play only one game with it..

Well I mean- the Dreamcast does have an awesome library but if you're only gonna use it for Rayman 2 then yeah- might as well emulate.

Re: Rayman 2
I emulated it and had no problems with it at all, very flawless emulation. Try it out for yourself.

Re: Rayman 2
Hmm, I've also emulated R2 DC, and for the most part, it runs perfectly, widescreen and 60 FPS. Only problem is that the music seems bust on mine, but I suspect that's an ISO issue.

Ah.. it's probably that. Do you know where I can find an ISO without any issues?

I don't think there's any better iso's out there, might be the emulator itself. DC emulation isn't flawless you know.

Re: Rayman 2
Yeah.. I downloaded the ISO on RomStation, this place is OK for me, (And it is in French
)
I ever had any problems, only with Rayman 2. It should be the emulator, you're probably right Rayfist.

What kind of bust music? My old burned ISO playing on a real Dreamcast also had music issues, it would often play at 2× or 0.5× speed.

Sometime it runs in 120FPS for me. I checked...
And I doesn't know how to change it.

Well, mine goes beyond playing weirdly, it don't play at all.Adsolution wrote:What kind of bust music? My old burned ISO playing on a real Dreamcast also had music issues, it would often play at 2× or 0.5× speed.
Weird, try using Vsync and see if that does anything.Harpic fraîcheur wrote:Sometime it runs in 120FPS for me. I checked...

Yeah. But I'm noticing there is "squares" on the ennemies shooting.
Is it a bug?

I will search on the Internet to fix these graphics glitches.
Re: Rayman 2
Try using the DEmul emulator, which has less issues than NullDC, but does run a bit slower on low-spec PCs.Harpic fraîcheur wrote:I will search on the Internet to fix these graphics glitches.

Re: Rayman 2
I think the specs of my PC will be OK to run games in DEmul. I will try tonight.
But I thank you for the reply.

Re: Rayman 2
The music issues you guys had with downloaded ISO's could be due to extra compression the rippers did. I know that there is a >800MB version and some <700MB versions for the Dreamcast ISO out there, with the main difference being that the rippers halved the sample rate for the music in the <700MB versions. If the game still plays the music at its original sample rate, then that would make it sound as if it's playing at 2x the speed. Try to get hold of the >800MB version if you can.

Ah well, I think it can't be worse than N64 emulation.Rayfist wrote:I don't think there's any better iso's out there, might be the emulator itself. DC emulation isn't flawless you know.
Right?
