Nice find! I already had bugs in the menu, I can access in any level without finishing the previous level.
Also, I will subscribe your Youtube channel. :)

For me those who manage to reach the 700k/800k are real pros/masters in the game. :D

According to RibShark, using that glitch causes problems for the leaderboards, so it should not be done. Unless he was talking about a different glitch.

First of all, welcome to the HoF SpyroGuy, great to see a new face around! ;)

About entering HD-Codes: I'm not sure if you know this, but the original Rayman 3 has a 100k-Points-Barrier, meaning you can't get past 99.999. Now there is exactly 3 ways to break this rule, thus allowing you to go further, but that's not the point here so I'll leave it at that.
However, from what I recall, said barrier was removed in Rayman 3 HD. And I guess that's why entering HD-Scores isn't allowed (after all, you could easily get like 150.000 in LOTLD/CF if it weren't for that limit). It would be an unfair advantage to all those who have the original version of R3.

So, people can't use Rayman 3 HD keys?

Well theoretically not but in the end the HoF is just for shits and giggles anyway so if you want to compare your scores with others you should be fine. I personally don't feel "offended" by that. And in the end we don't even have a certain rule for that, anyone could already have used Rayman 3 HD scores in the Hall of Fame.

I'm more curious as to what would show up as the platform if you plonked a HD code in there, seeing as they didn't intend for HD to use the HoF.

Same here. If the HoF key is just a simple cypher of Score + Cages + Platform (which is what I assume) it should actually display the correct platform. Can somebody test that?

Whee, just moved up from #149 to #129.

Is there a good way to combo the shoe? I feel like it should be possible to corner it or something.

Yup, though more often than not I get it out of luck, be tactical about your boosting, if you boost too much, you'll hit things, which decreases your score by 1. Though, in the long run, it may be worthwhile if it gets you close to the shoe quickly, as that nets more points to compensate, not to mention the combo you'll hopefully get into by boosting to get there while combo mode is active.

The Shoe should be the least of your worries. :P

Not getting many Shoe-Hits can cost you up to 2.000 Points in the Longest Shortcut, but unless you want to get way more than 800k, you won't need those anyway. The only other levels with Races are LOTLD and TOTL, both of which don't mainly rely on the Shoe.

To answer your question though, it's all about luck in 99% of the cases. Usually, not boosting for the first 9 Hits is your best bet, since crashing into the Shoe while sped up will take away more of its health. On the 9th Hit, boost and try to get the Shoe in Combo, that way you'll get at least 330 Points out of it.

That's the one and only reason I brought this up in the first place as well. If for nothing else, we could at least know which version was used as the basis for the creation of this port.

Since your all asking, the Xbox version was the basis (which can be seen if you look at a few minor version differences), and that is the version that appears when you enter the R3HD codes into the leaderboard.

That's another mystery solved then. Thanks for the info!

extremely interesting. that explains at least MandM's score so I guess we're done with that

You're an Xbox player, you are not able to mention where you improved your score by such an exceeding amount and quite different to the IPG scenario you're the only person on this planet that knows about your improvement and you haven't provided screenshots of your level scores yet although the case Mirage has been closed. Well, we could discuss whether it's actually closed since he "only" deleted his score from the Hall of Fame. And how fitting, you chose April 1st to reveal your findings.

But that's not really important either. I'm just a little bit disappointed that there is nothing big left to find in this game currently.
