Abe is more of PlayStation and Microsoft kind of guy but I guess he also has some appearances on Nintnendo consoles including Remake coming to Wii U.

YES, YES, YES please. Capcom has already thrown their hat in with Megaman, but Ryu is the main protagonist from Street Fighter, a pretty big fighting game franchise, I actually see him fitting possibly better than Snake, considering he's already part of a fighting universe, and given Street Fighter games usually do get ports on Nintendo consoles (SFIV got a special 3ds port with exclusive features), I think it's VERY possible. I am all for this idea, easily one of the best fighting game characters. Even if it is another third party character, Ryu being in there makes so much sense, I'm all for this idea.

I'd prefer they use his younger look though:

Anyways I know that rumor is likely fake but holy shit my heart would just blow up if I saw this happen, oh man. There's already a bit of Street Fighter love in Smash since Megaman has a shoryuken attack ripped straight from Marvel Vs. Capcom. Given that Ryu is already part of a fighting universe, his moveset would be very easy for them to develop.

Neutral B= Hadouken
Up B= Shoryuken
Down B= tatsumaki senpukyaku

Not sure what to choose for side B though. Imagine him being a clone of Little Mac.

It does sound fair, but man Ryu would fit in so well. Though I do think the leak is fake, would just be awesome seeing him in there.

To that I reply : meh. I don't disagree, but he's already in a fighting game (or 589666236651236,3 if you ask Capcom). I prefer the combattant in Smash to be more original.

That's what I'd fear from another fighting game character. I'd rather have a character that can bring something entirely new to the table. Though it wouldn't hurt if some Street Fighter guys were added. If they are, the team over at the Smash labs need to include Guile's Theme as an unlockable soundtrack.

Some people are suspecting the rumored Ryu thing might have something to do with a Capcom themed stage for Megaman but who knows.

Hell yeah! MK8 DLC! The tracks look gorgeous! I can't wait for the Villager and Isabelle to be playable!

I've played with Mewtwo. He feels bulkier than in Melee, although I didn't play Melee in a while so I could be wrong. His moveset has been changed, so he's not a Lucario clone. Kudos for that. He plays more with status effects, which is nice. I like it. Also, the final smash is a bit weird, but still awesome.
