On the note of emulation on Wii U, it really is garbage, not only is there a slight delay, but the quality doesn't even look good on the SNES and NES games. I understand you're playing an 8 or 16 bit game on an HD TV, but I'm shocked by how noticeable of a delay there was.

On that note I'm VERY impressed with the GBA emulation on Wii U, here I was expecting it to be awful like the NES and SNES emulation but I was pleasantly surprised how smooth they made it look, and even managed to give that small screen a very nice filter.

I only plan to get VERY few games off VC, and they're ones I already own, just wanna rebuy them to show support:
-Megaman Battle Network
-Megaman X
-Paper Mario
-DK Country

And that's about it. (Oh and Twin Snakes whenever Gamecube games get some support.)

Either it's you not being used to playing on the actual hardware... or they actually fixed it through update. Being the huge snes junkie I am though, I do notice a delay. I remember at my sisters house playing a demo for Pac-man on Smash bros, and he wouldn't even turn through the maze when I clearly fucking input for him to go left or right.

Pure nearest neighbor scaling looks completely fine for those generations, though, and should produce almost no lag whatsoever, so that's still completely inexcusable.

Like I said... it may have been fixed. I could just be basing this opinion off the emulation from the Smash bros demo's. I'll have to nab Megaman X when it's on sale.

I'm pretty sure Virtual Console and the Smash Bros. Masterpieces are not alike in most ways. For one Virtual Console is a full-fledge emulator and the Masterpieces are demos slapped into Smash.

Yeah, I didn't notice any delays either. In fact, I prefer capturing SNES games off the VC (but that's because the WiiU has HDMI cables). If Nintendo can't emulate their own consoles, who can? Aside of course those nasty developpers of Project M who always like to ruin everything because that's what they do, I mean come on guys, you should know better.

Just a side note: The original consoles perform a WAAYY better video quality over RGB and Framemeister than via Virtual Console.

Yep, here's a video I took around a month ago from the SNES, even with the color settings being slightly fucked up:

Holy hell, VC looks disgusting.

I'm legitimately curious who looked at that bilinear filtering/crushed colors double-penetration combo and went "lol ok."

5 days people, 5 days!

On a separate note, I'll be watching and listening to the Symphony of the Goddesses: Master Quest tomorrow!
Anyone else who's seen this tour or the previous one, or is planning to? I'm absolutely thrilled!
