Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Hm... I think I need to go back to that game. There were some elements I liked, but there were some I hate. They managed to ruin the excellent physics of the classic Sonic Games. It's weird, the game really wants to emulate that "Classic Sonic" feel but instead I feel like I'm just playing an all new Sonic game. I have the game on PSN but not on steam. Does anyone have a digital copy they can gift me for STEAM? I'll give you $5 through paypal!

I think you're talking about the lock-on attack, since I also sometimes thought I mostly use that attack instead of just jumping :/Rayfist wrote:Hm... I think I need to go back to that game. Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I just remember the physics in the game being atrocious as all hell, I'll try to nab a steam copy if a sale ever happens.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
I found a fun game few of us RPC folks can play.
Search your name on google images and put "The hedgehog" at the end. Post results here. Let the autism cringe flow. Here's mine:

Note: USE your real name, not your online persona.
...Also can someone tell me what the fuck that is on my head?

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
Yay! Nobody made a fan character called Andrija The Hedgehog
I win!
I suppose that my name is not too much common and that no autistic Sonic fan is named Andrija

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
On the note of Sonic...
I recently watched Projared's Sonic Adventure 2 analysis/review, and... he's right, about everything.
I use to keep telling myself otherwise but I know I was being a bit blinded by nostalgia, both Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are not good games. No, like factually, they are NOT good games. He made such a good point, that SA2 has some REALLY great moments, and we remember those tiny moments so well that we ignored the huge flaws of the game. I've said it before, the big problem with a lot of modern Sonic games is the gameplay tries to constantly reinvent itself. I swore up and down that I loved SA2 to death that it was one of the best 3D Sonic games, but I really do realize it isn't great at all. Now does this mean I'll stop playing it? No, as said before SA2 has some amazing moments that are legitimately fun to play, and I'll always come back. But factually, no matter what way you try to put it, it really ISN'T a good game. Therefore, SA2 and SA1 are both REALLY guilty pleasures for me, even though I know they're flawed, I still enjoy a lot of parts of it, those small great moments are so... great, that despite being shortlived, you can't wait to reach another one of those. Of course when I say bad, I don't mean near 06 level.
I guess what I like so much about Adventure are those small tidbits that are so memorable and great. And I do recommend people check it out, but please bare in mind the games haven't aged well and they really aren't good. Do I still enjoy them? Of course I still like them, I'm just a lot more wary now that I was definitely false when I called them good games. I just love when I'm able to constantly replay those small moments, set better times, etc.
I recommend people here who were like me and just adored SA2 to death give the video a watch:
