I wonder if the Rayman community have the same sort of reaction when fans started appearing who were born after Rayman 2

I can remember that when I was 4/6 and I played Rayman 3 on PC I couldn't pass the third part of the fairy council because I didn't know how to strafe >.<

Well, I'm certain the majority of currently active members were born after the first Rayman game was released...

Huh. Makes me feel old to think many of my contemporaries were born after that cut off point.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
But… I remember clearly playing Rayman 2 on my Nintendo 64!
It can't be that long ago. Two or three years, at most. When France won the World Cup, Jurassic Park was a hit… Yeah, Rayman 2 came out a little bit after the The Lion King, right? 2011, what a year!
…
And I'm not even really old yet…

Well, think of those who were born after PC was created.Jewish Candy wrote:Huh. Makes me feel old to think many of my contemporaries were born after that cut off point.
Itooh, that sure reminds me of xkcd.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
I'm made to feel like a Rayman dinosaur all the time on this forum, let alone newer generations coming!
Re: Please introduce yourself here
It's funny how you call them generations. We must protect our children, and our children's children from the terror that is forum spam!
I guess that would make Hunch the grandfather. And DesLife and I? Perhaps the creepy uncles in sandals and reindeer shorts that won't leave the party...

Re: Please introduce yourself here
Well it does feel quite weird to realize we've been part of this community (first RZ, then PC) for about half our lives.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
And to think, for some of you, it might end up being even more than that.
I know that I tend to think of PC as having eras rather than generations - a Golden Age, a Silver Age, a Renaissance, etc.
Only grandfather? I think we're quite a few more generations removed from Humch by nowXenon wrote:It's funny how you call them generations. We must protect our children, and our children's children from the terror that is forum spam!

Re: Please introduce yourself here
My own oddball take is that there have been five "generations" on this forum. First we had the period before I registered, which I have to say mainly consisted of stupid people. Then my early days, after RaymanZone was killed. 2008 spawned an entirely new generation (and most people in the previous generations left) - the Holy Crap era if you will. Then 2010, which was quite cool I suppose. And the current mob of forum frequenters has probably been going on since 2013 or summin.
