I think $25-30 is a reasonable price. $10 is just the sum poor leaches come up with.

>people get mad at Sony for charging $60 for Little Big Planet 3 where you can actually design your own games from scratch
>Mario Maker a basic level editor being charged for the same price
>Nintendo fans defend it to death

I swear, it's okay when Nintendo does it. Fucking christ, no wonder I can't stand this fanbase, so many corporate slaves.
Bradandez wrote:And also, I was referring to Rayfist seeing as he called me out for my "shit taste". Well, I'm sorry for him seeing his Xenoblade series is not as loved as Splatoon or Mario Maker. They're getting the attention he doesn't want them to get. He'd rather have the dull, faded game of Xenoblade X have the limelight. Splatoon after all has been given its own event coming up pretty soon, included in a nation-wide tour, and its own amiibo series. But preferences and preferences, but dull, faded X is nothing eye-catching to me. And Metal Gear Solid, is something I can care less.
It's fine if you don't like it, but to call it "bland" seems rather pretentious, and defend the ridiculous price tag of Mario Maker just shows most Nintendo fans in a nutshell. Xenoblade X is getting a lot of attention btw, I just don't see why you call it "dull." Like at least I'm getting both games, how can you shit talk one over the other and not even care for the series? This is coming from someone whose looking forward to Splatoon as well (me). Keep in mind, unlike you I'm not comparing Splatoon to Xenoblade, both look awesome in there own right, but to say "this looks like shit" is very one sided. Even if Xenoblade isn't your type of game you can't see anything from that at all?

Also I hope you're trolling, I'm excited for both Splatoon and Mario Maker, unlike you though I actually can criticize Nintendo for making stupid decisions. I've been a fan longer than you ever have.

Mario Maker is something that should've been done years ago. $60 for a basic level editor can't be justified no matter what way you try to put it. Even die hard Mario fans are stating that's too much. How's being a corporate slave? Don't believe me? Look at the results here:
http://www.gamnesia.com/polls/poll-is-6 ... ario-maker
You're in the minority.

I know I should never take your posts seriously Brad, but that really annoyed me how you think that I'm mad over the success of Splatoon, because I'm actually looking quite forward to it.
Bradandez wrote:$60 is the standard price for most software now, I don't see what the fuss is about.
Nintendo does no wrong guys, it's okay when they do it. It's a fucking basic level editor, which you could easily do with emulators for FREE.
Then again some of you guys will pay more than $500 for amiibos, Nintendo does no wrong guys!

I like the idea of Mario Maker, but I think it's a bit sad that it's supposed to be the grand event for Mario's 30th birthday.

Fully agreed, it's nice looking and I wouldn't mind getting it, but there was so much more that Nintendo could've done for Mario's 30th anniversary.
But hey, it's okay when Nintendo does it! Nintendo should've just charged $60 for Captain Toad instead of 40!

Master Chief collection is still having problems no? Excellent campaigns I'm sure, but a good half of the game is still broken, that's 343 to blame.

I'll give Nintendo this, at least their games are usually working on launch.

Ill reply to Rayfist's post some time later. I'm far too tired to point out what's wrong with it.

So, Splatoon Direct started off slow, but it gets really good at the end!

The most exciting stuff is that we are getting DLC for free! After launch, Splatoon will release content throughout the summer! The content will range from weapons, gear, maps, and even game modes!

After a while and Splatoon has gotten its player base, they will release a matchmaking system for friends that allow you to customize rules and maps!

And Splatoon will host events called Inkfests that are like Smash Bros' Weekly Challenges. Players choose a team and duke it out online. The winning team gets a prize at the end of the week. First Inkfest is on June 20th!

Now for the most important announcement! Nintendo will host a Splatoon Global Testfire this weekend! Soon after the direct, you can download a demo of Splatoon! And this weekend, you'll be able to play online matches for a certain time! So look out for that!

And for us Americans, when you pre-order Splatoon you will get codes for Splatoon Mii costumes to use for Super Smash Bros. So don't delay!

I did a joke about Mario Maker
I actually like Mario Maker
I'll go cry on the corner

By the way, I agree that 60 ducks is a bit too much for a Mario game, but, I think it's okay since basically you're buying 2 full games, Super Mario Bros. and the 32th new game of Mario. That total may be fair for me.

I'll just wait for a price drop, I honestly thought it was just gonna be a 25-30 dollar download on the eshop lol. Is it a largely demanded game anyway? I like the concept but I'm pretty sure the game isn't allowing level packs or full games, so really all you'd be able to do then is just playing/making random levels which is...decent fun but nothing to get me hyped. If anything, I imagine the best that'll come out of the game is gonna be the completely bullshit or kaizo levels.

Mmm, I'd probably wait for a price drop as well... Or if it's a physical release, I'd probably try to get a cheap second hand.
I sure do hope they add some sort of level hub, in which you can create your own worlds, basic perhaps.

A Mario game creator has been in demand since fucking Mario Paint. Hell, I've spent a good 100 hours on Mario Paint just designing stupid shit. So there's no denying that Mario Makers content is seemingly endless. But you can't defend such a harsh pricetag, especially since the editor, while I'm sure people will make some totally creative stuff is very limited.

Remember, Mario level creators have existed way before Nintendo has ever done it, the only difference here is, Mario Maker will have a lot of polish to it. And this is why a lot of people are against the fact of paying $60, and to me, that's completely logical. Why pay $60, when you can download a Mario level editor for emulators. It's cool Nintendo's doing it now, fuck, I'll buy it, but I'm definitely waiting for a price drop.

It is. Nintendo could have done it the whole weekend. But I think this is just for the Devs could do test on how players play. I dunno, they better have lots of severs up.

Wait, really? What the heck? So the demo will only work at specific times and days, or just for this one time?
Either way, that actually sounds pretty lame, in any case I fear I'm definitely unable to play then.

If it's TOMORROW, you're talking about, I actually think I can do this.

I made 3-4 matches in the 1PM session. So far I like it. I have never been a sucker for TPS and MOBAs but Splatoons kept me interested (I had to stop because the parents called).

I've yet to master the controls and I feel that the roller is a bit OP but that may be because I've not played enough.
