I enjoy reading, the countryside, country-pubbing, playing sports and travelling. I do like gaming but it's definitely taken a back seat in recent years. I'm also fairly interested in motors but I tend to keep that one quiet as it can be a conversation stopper...

I've been trying to keep an indoor garden. I've found that taking care of plants and seeing the results of your work can be very satisfying. I'm thinking about getting into the art of bonsai as well.

That sounds really cool. Like the rest of my bloodline I have a black thumb (we all fail at tomatoes for example), but I'd love to find a good spot to grow a bit of food.

What do I enjoy? Teas and tisanes, cats, dance, reading academic pdfs for free, the occasional burst of conlangin', liminal spaces and sleep. Easier to think of things I don't enjoy, haha

Yeah, originally I took it up because I read somewhere that taking care of plants can greatly improve your mood, and even have health benefits. Now I just enjoy it... The edible stuff is so good too. Easiest plants to grow are probably herbs, garlic and onions. I'm also trying strawberries and tomatoes this year, wonder how that goes. Tomato plants look good so far, but the strawberries are still dormant. Really hoping they wake up soon.

Teas, oh yeah. I love tea. Not the crap they put in teabags though. Brewing loose leaf teas made me actually appreciate the flavor and stop adding sugar to it.

EXACTLY. Ever since I found a good supplier I've completely eschewed teabags in favour of the loose stuff. Unfortunately that shop has now closed, but I've got my list of other places so it's not so bad. Proper tea is an expensive thing to like, but a worthwhile one.

Come to think of it, we have grown good herbs in the past. I might try those first. We're very lucky to have a lush garden that takes care of itself well, with apple trees, lilac trees, a bay tree, a pear tree and a black elder tree, so we do at least get a harvest
