All right, bit of an announcement here.
Remember how LoveMetal started working on Rayman Optimum, using Java to make the project multiplatform? Yeah, forget about that.
There was a bit of an accident and we are left with basically 0 lines of code. The project isn't cancelled, but we are in dire need of a Java programmer. opengl/directx experience is huge plus! We need someone to help out so we can get this thing back on track.

Tips:
- If you got nVidia Optimus, I'd recommand you to launch the games with your intergrated chip.
- It's always better to take the smallest resolution that your monitor can handle.
- Some scalers will not work with OpenGL so if you want a specific one take DDraw instead.
- You can record best with Bandicam.
- Apply slowmotion fix only if your games run in slowmotion!
- Never ever play with the frequencies selection in the options menu!

I would like to get and try these files.
Could someone re-upload the file ?

Yes, in Betilla's Gardens some Koreans uploaded PCX files and I could try it and got good results in making my usermap with the template and Example of them.

My minimum resolution is 144x100. The question is, will I be able to play at this resolution

No because Rayman operates in 320x200 and DOSBox upscales it to your desired resolution you wish. And your monitor most likely isn't going to run 144x100 natevily, so in other words it also just upscales it to its native resolution.

Why would it be? 144x100 is such a poor resolution, even Atari 2600 games looks sharper than that! Ok maybe not, but you get my point

If anyone is having problems with the cutscene playing very poorly - with choppy sound and stuttering video - then do exactly this, but rather than the dosbox.conf file, edit the Rayman.conf file instead (\UbiSoft\Rayman Optimum\Engine). I tried this with the dosbox.conf file but none of the settings were applied whenever I'd launch the game. So I randomly decided to check out the Rayman.conf file, figure out that it might have been this file all along, launch the game, then everything went smoothly; both the cutscene AND the gameplay.emshomar wrote:I will post a video.
