Anyway, a forum with a mod team that refuses to reprimand the actual spammers in favor of the people that want to do something about them is not one < wants to be on at the moment.

First, please keep in mind that you have no idea what happened and that you thus lack all the elements that would allow you to make up an informed opinion on the matter.
As for the spammers, I've already asked everyone to report their posts, so that we can deal with them immediately. We have taken many measures to improve the situation, one of them being to be a lot more strict with those who pollute the forum with useless messages. However, I am yet to see this spam wave you're complaining about. It may just be because I'm not a moderator and I don't usually deal with spam, so if I've missed something, click that report button.

I'm not too sure either. None of those who left have bothered to explain to me why, so I assumed this was because of the recent conflicts, which we did our best to solve... well, at least most of us.

< also doesn't understand why the forum is going downhill, and why everyone is leaving, when < hasn't seen even the slightest manifestation of the recent problems, especially the 'MLG spam' which < hasn't seen any of subsequent to the time, not that long a time even, that it did appear.
It's actually depressing that everyone's suddenly abandoning the forum for problems that < hasn't seen in ages.
Maybe there is a lot going on in other forums, < doesn't browse many other topics often, but it really doesn't make sense to <.

I wholeheartedly agree with you: while some unpleasant events occurred a few weeks back, it seems to me that some people are overreacting and making up problems that don't exist.

Well, sometimes events like these are used as an excuse to leave. Not saying that it isn't the reason for their leave, but < thinks it might have just been a good excuse to get away from this place, or at least for a while. When one goes, more follow...

Anyway, < sure does hope ^ understands the current situation is even more confusing for us regular forum members. < wholeheartedly believes the mod team is doing all they can to improve the situation, but < thinks some of us don't realize these things take time. < personally thinks one of the reasons this forum has been feeling so down for the last couple of weeks is BECAUSE people keep complaining about the problems, which like ^ said before, are currently being fixed.

< thinks it's best to leave these problems aside. Personally < loves going to this place, but even the short mention of these "problems" makes me feel all icky inside, which is something < doesn't want.

About the Adsituation, < thinks it's something for Ad to explain. If he doesn't want to, leave him be guys, but don't meddle in stuff you don't know anything about.

< is well aware that this all sounds confusing to a lot of you but like I said earlier we are working hard to improve the situation. So you guys can either help by being constructive and reporting the issues that annoy you or make our job harder by constantly whining about it, ignoring our instructions or leaving without a reason.

Any chance we can just get one or two members to hop back on? < finds it hard to believe active, long term members are gonna abruptly cut all connection with the forums over some recent problems, except maybe Pirez

It's often just attention seeking. < wouldn't accuse everyone of it but leaving abruptly seems to often be a way of getting noticed and demanding pleas to stay.

There are many good reasons why people leave (and the situation last week is one of them) but declaring that you're leaving in grandiose style is little more than annoying.
