Re: E3 2015
I watched gameplay of Federation Force. While I'm not all too impressed with it bearing the Metroid name, as a game on its own, it actually looks pretty decent.
Re: E3 2015
I agree. I didn't really like this year's Nintendo E3 much either. Where are the games? Nintendo was so awesome last year, like what the hell happened here? I expected way more games announced.Haruka wrote:I watch the E3s since 2006 and I am sure this was the worst Nintendo conference I've ever seen so far. While the presentation was nice (Muppets!) I am really disappointed by the lack of content, especially for Wii U owners. I got happy for StarFox fans and I got surprised by the Paper Mario/Mario RPG crossover game but those things aside... damn, Nintendo. What's wrong with you lately?
When I saw the Skylanders partnership with Nintendo and saw DK and Bowser in-game the first thing it came up to my mind was "Look how Activision is desperate for sucking more cash by dragging Nintendo fans there.". I love the Bowser amiibo but it isn't that that will make me buy the game. Sorry, Activision.
I even expected more info about the new Wii U Zelda title but there was zero details.
Damn, E3 2015 has got to be the worst year ever since I started accompaigning this.
As for Skylanders, still not buying it myself too. Skylanders developers before making deal with Activision to publish game originally wanted to make Skylanders Nintendo exclusive but Nintendo rejected it probably because they seen how bad it is. I bet Skylander devs paid a lot of money to Nintendo to be able to include Bowser and DK. I honestly hope that this is last Skylanders title so that series can finally die just how Guitar Hero did after each new game getting released every year for some time before getting killed off. Activision, just sell your rights to Spyro already, he needs proper game.
Sony clearly won this E3 for me just by showing The Last Guardian at the beginning. I seriously hope that downscaled PS3 version will happen since it was originally developed for PS3 but I will understand if it stays PS4 only. PS4 seems to be getting more and more awesome stuff. Sony, please make PS3 backwards compatibility on PS4 so I can sell my PS3 with fan issues and buy PS4.
Re: E3 2015
I'm not buying the Skylanders game, but I am buying those Amiibo for it. Those look awesome and I'm a big DK fan!

Look around you, some of the most highly conversed games on this forum are Pokemon.Saerilaya wrote:Just...please!
We don't all play the same RPGs as you do! CAN YOU NOT?
What I like doesn't concern me, I like to see discussion of a variety of games, and clearly that isn't here with RPG's. Don't get me wrong, I love Paper Mario, and I enjoy Pokemon but it kind of blows that with member like Candish who aren't here that we see no discussion for these games anymore.
Re: E3 2015
By the way, Kingdom Hearts 3 looks especially glorious in 1080p, which wasn't available on the stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaTjCvUZjck
Damn, that shot at 0:48 is so amazing.

They admitted it. And the official trailer of the first game was not as good aesthetically as this one...ikke471 wrote:and the Deus Ex game was all prerendered as fuuuuuuuuuuuuck so I aint getting excited about that.
I also think you don't really know the game itself: the one is technically a great game, plus his design fits very well with the overall ambiance. And it has a very cohesive and interesting story, from a phisolophical and ethical standpoint.

Oookay...there's being disappointed, and then there's being excessive. As disappointing as it is to have a game which doesn't seem to fit within the ideals of its moniker, I do think the game itself deserves a chance. It actually looks pretty decent from the footage I've seen, definitely not adhering to the Metroid formula, but that doesn't make it bad, it makes it different.

Re: E3 2015
The whole Metroid fiasco is annoying as crap, the game looks fine, it looks fun, its the just the fandom are being brats over a name. I shouldn't be surprised honestly, same thing happened to other M, a perfectly fine game, one of the wii's finest games, definitdly not the best Metroid game but certainly not bad, mosts fans want to pretend it doesn't even exist because of one friggging scene, there were other things too but people always focused on that one scene in a game from the series were no one cared about the story for the most part anyway they cared more about the world ghey were in. but because of one scene people just wrote the whole thing off as a pile of crap. And now they're doing the same with this because Nintendo put Metroid Prime in the title. I understand the disapointment of waiting five years for a poorly named spin-off but asking for it to be cancelled is just childish, selfish and is making the Metroid fanbase seem like the biggest spoilt brats since... I dunno... me, when I first played Rayman Origins, and thought it was the worst thing to happen to tbe Rayman series (and I still think its the worst game in the series but not as passionately as I once did.)

Re: E3 2015
I'd say there were a couple of highlights worth mentioning:
Kingdom Hearts III. Look at how far they have come. Plus, bring in Tangled is a nice thing to look forward to.
Ratchet and Clank for the PS4 gameplay wasn't bad at all. Looks like they're headed back to the style of the classics...At least that's what I hope.
Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam came out nowhere IMO. I found it a surprise that Nintendo is combining the Mario & Luigi RPG series AND Paper Mario. I was honestly expecting only another Paper Mario game to be debuted in E3 and a break from the Mario & Luigi series, but they fooled me. It's honestly one of the last things I expected Nintendo would pull off, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited for it.

If we're starting petitions, then I'll start a petition to destroy every copy of Origins and Legends.

I thought everybody here liked Rayman Origins?

Re: E3 2015
Hmm, I do think many enjoyed the game, but there has been plenty of debate in comparing the UbiArt games to the old ones. Not necessarily indicative of dislike, but of preference.
Anyways, on Metroid Prime, its Producer decided to talk about his desire to make another entry in the series. He even revealed that the ship following Samus at the end of Prime 3, was indeed Sylux's.

Re: E3 2015
Even if I am not a metroid player, I know a bit about the game. To me, the new metroid looks fine. Now it makes me think about the difference between R3 and RO, where you have the same universe but another look at it. It doesn't mean it's bad at all, it's simply a bit more different than usual. Once you get used to it, you are able to enjoy it way more than expected.
I enjoyed watching yoshi wool world. It looks great! Nintendo has always been able to surprise us with a completely different design for a franchise (it echoes the metroid drama a lot actually).
Brad was being pretty sarcastic in his post: he prefers the UbiArt era over the older part of the franchise. (I am not being salty here, it's just a statement).DandyGuy wrote:I thought everybody here liked Rayman Origins?

Re: E3 2015
Au contraire, I actually did find myself liking the footage of the game shown during the Treehouse stream, I'll probably get it if I do get a 3DS. The issue I have is with the "Metroid" title, given that Federation Force doesn't really follow the tropes of a Metroid game.

Re: E3 2015
Wait, wasn't "Yoshi's wool world" called "Yoshi's epic yarn" in one of the first trailers!?
------------------------------------------[edit]------------------------------------------
There's even a third name: "Yarn Yoshi" (very creative).

Re: E3 2015
Yeah, it's always been called Yoshi's Woolly World. It is a spiritual sequel to Kirby's Epic Yarn, however.

Re: E3 2015
I really do fear this is true, and I hate to say it.
I dare to say, I've wanted Beyond Good and Evil to finish more than having a new Rayman (currently).
I guess Ubisoft didn't find BG&E1 profitable, which sucks. It's such an excellent game. I may just need to replay it once again.

Quite honestly, those graphics look abysmal. They have no excuse when there are amazing looking games for the 3DS with far better quality: Metal Gear Solid 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, even Moon Chronicles (an indie shooters which takes inspiration from Metroid), looks fucking better.ikke wrote:I think I'm the only one who's liking the prime federations game.
