I did try Diagnosis before, but it didn't seem to do anything.
Re: Any questions on this board?
Then I am not sure what’s the problem. Try playing it on a PS1 or a PS3 if you have one.Ambidextroid wrote:I did try Diagnosis before, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Re: Any questions on this board?
Did you try changing the PS1 disk reading speeds on your PS2?

Don't have a PS1 or PS3 unfortunately
Tried different disk speed and any other settings I could find but no luck, seems like I'm at a loss with this one.

Looks like you’ll just have to use an emulator.Ambidextroid wrote:Don't have a PS1 or PS3 unfortunately

Could just be the laser wearing out on it or needs cleaning.Ambidextroid wrote: In the end it just comes up with Disk Read Error, even though the disk itself has little to no scratches and is completely clean.
Any help?
I have a couple of PS2s that are very particular on what PS1 and PS2 games they play.

It might not be the laser, as my PS2 makes that horrendous grinding noise too, but without any reading errors.Hoodcom wrote:Could just be the laser wearing out on it or needs cleaning.Ambidextroid wrote: In the end it just comes up with Disk Read Error, even though the disk itself has little to no scratches and is completely clean.

Tetris worlds is the worst with that noise
Re: Any questions on this board?
NFS Underground makes a noise too, but only if you listen closely. It sounds like the disc’s slipping on the spindle!CHRdutch wrote:Tetris worlds is the worst with that noise

Do Blu-Ray players play DVDs? I've been looking into getting a Blu Ray player since my Wii I can't play movies I downloaded onto a flash drive.

Usually they should be backwards compatible to DVDs and CDs.
Re: Any questions on this board?
LOL, did you really expect Wii to play HD movies?Bradandez wrote:I've been looking into getting a Blu Ray player since my Wii I can't play movies I downloaded onto a flash drive.

Re: Any questions on this board?
Did I say anything about grinding noises being caused by the laser? I don't think so. The issue at hand is the disk read error, thus the laser being the potential fault here. Whether it's dying, out of alignment, dirty, or in need of lubrication on the rails for it's assembly.Fifo wrote:It might not be the laser, as my PS2 makes that horrendous grinding noise too, but without any reading errors.
I still need to buy a new laser for my fat PS2.

Didn't you see my typo, you fucking dork? I clearly meant Wii U, but I was rudely auto-corrected.OldClassicGamer wrote:LOL, did you really expect Wii to play HD movies?Bradandez wrote:I've been looking into getting a Blu Ray player since my Wii Ican't play movies I downloaded onto a flash drive.
