Yippee Kai-yay for me then.

But damn, you Europeans are expensive. The whole payment for the book and shipping is $71 for me. Hot damn.

Actually, mostly only France has expensive shipping. When I send stuff to US it is way cheaper.

Fixed. I ensure you you wouldn't pay as much if you were ordering from UK or even Portugal.

When I ordered the Rayman book the shipping almost costed as much as the book itself!

Can confirm. I've ordered from a lot of different countries within Europe and most of them are pretty reasonable, but France is the worst. Arguably as bad as shipping from the US.

Which sucks, because virtually all the stuff I want is from either of the two countries. :fou:

I actually found some eBay sellers from US that can ship video games to Europe for $4 (dunno if it is possible for bigger items though)
Yes it takes very long to arrive but I would rather wait than spend insane price on shipping.

Ah, well I'm paying in converted euros so I blatantly assumed. Forgive my lack of knowledge of the outside world that is not America.

Also, I contacted the seller and they have yet to reply. So I'm just going to stay positive and just say that they just put the wrong name on the product. That's all.

Yeah The History of Nintendo, written by my friend Florent Gorges, is really interesting. But if you're not familiar with french, better read it in english directly ^^

Anyway, here's a 'funny' picture made by R2 dev team back in the days :D I should take the time to post some unseen material.

Creppy, but I can note the unique facial expression render of Rayman. It is the first time it is seen.

Time to learn how to French ;).

Just curious, are you learning a second language at school?

My point was : The History of Nintendo IS available in english, contrary to L'Histoire de Rayman... The books edited by Pix'n Love available in english are listed here : http://www.pixnlovepublishing.com/

I was in high school and funny enough it was French.

And I get what you're saying Mike. Just poking fun at myself is all. Also, I'm 97.6% positive that my order of the History of Rayman Collector's Edition is right and just has the wrong name. Because the standard edition also has the wrong name too! I'll just email them back in French just to be sure.

Hey, what a great sharing, Motormike :o! Thank you! *Saves*

- Pioc: Could this be the real name of these birds we see often in R2 like this one? -> https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/File:Bird_Fairy_Glade.jpg - The render in Motormike's image is a bit different but it could be an early design.

- Poulet: *Snorts* xD A chicken? Poor Minissaurus/Deny.

- Ly: That's a nice alternative render of Ly. We know other render with her of juggling but not this one.

- La stelle: I don't think this went to the final game.

- Globox: The render seems quite similar with the one used for the Globber mini-game.

- Le Magicien: Wait, Polokus was meant to be the Magician of R1 or is it pure coincidence? Probably the latter. It is the first time we see a render with an alternative colour. We never saw him wearing blue shorts and a blue spotted hat. So far we have seen around 3/4 different colourings used for this model.

- Canon: I don't think this went to the final game, unless it is merely a "physical" representation of the origin of the canon balls shot by the WarShips.

- Une bombe à hélice: Shiny shiny...

- Un roc: I don't think this went to the final game.

- Une baleine mauve: Whoa, Carmen wasn't initially planned as a goodie for R2? This probably explains why in this picture (and in other equal ones I've seen) she has got no eyes.

- Un monstre des marais: For the first time we see an early design of Eig. I think this early design is even creepier than the final one !

- Un colossal COLOSSE: Umber is portrayed as a baddie. Could this mean that he's only neutral in the PS1 version of R1?

- Tonneau soap: Interesting item. It did not make to the final game but I wonder what a barrel with soap was meant for.

- Caisses TNT: The second one doesn't have seemed to have made to the final game.

- Une plate forme "carapace": I don't think we ever saw the bouncing eye suspended like that.
