No, it's a Glitch which can be pulled off on any platform (at least it's possible on GC, XBox and PC). You strafe towards the edge, and as soon as you're standing on it, by entering the Look-Mode, you'll be launched into the air.

since there is still some stuff to explore in HH, I'd like to do a little "science stream" of rayman 3 on twitch soon. So basically I mess around and other people can watch, give ideas and talk in chat. Anybody here interested in that? Because I made the experience that multiple players together always produce the best ideas.

That sounds really cool! If you want interaction you are probably better off streaming on Hitbox though, as there is less delay.

I'll check that one out, thanks :)
My assumption is just that there is still plenty of interest in Rayman 3, many people just don't feel like playing it theirselves, so I thought this would be a good idea to bring the minds together

well, you need to be signed up for chat interaction. I don't mind if you just want to watch, but I'd rather be interested in your creativity :P

Nobody has scrounged like me in R3 HOF.

At march 2015 I was 45th ranking.

Today I'm ranking 26th.

Very fast rise it isn't?

I'd be interested if there's a reasonably sized group. I think you're right about the game, I'm still keen on it, enjoy discussing it etc just not actually playing it, at least for points. Happy birthday by the way, bud.

Something that crossed my mind a few weeks ago is the apparent lack of speedrunner activity around here for the game. It would also be interesting for us to do some sort of 'friendly' live speedrun and broadcast it.

Thanks for the birthday wishes :)
As far as I know, the Speedrunners (I don't even know if there's a specific group like that so I apologize if I'm wrong about something here) consider Rayman 3 to be "finished" since they found every possible skip they could be looking for. But there will be a Rayman 3 Speedrun at the European Speedster Assembly (the european AGDQ) in 2 weeks, so I guess the Speedrunners are still active, they're just not putting that much effort into finding new stuff anymore.

There's definitely a group of people who run the game. It's definately not considered "finished" though, new skips are being discovered but yes, less than before. The run at ESA should hopefully highlight some of the new stuff found. I would certainly run this game if I had the necessary hardware, but I don't.

Is this new content released somewhere? I'm subscribed to several people on Youtube but unfortunately, the "Raymon Experience" series was the most recent content I could find.

Well there's plenty more after that. A lot of RSJs have been found and there's a few glidewalk clips too. There's also new strategies for beating the first Reflux battle faster, as well as the first part of the second reflux battle. A new trick called the CBSJ (camera-buffered super jump) has been discovered allowing many superjumps to be performed in locations not possible before (but it only works on the Gamecube and possibly PS2 versions) . If you really want to see every new trick then the WR is probably the place to look, as it is fairly up to date.

Thanks bud. From what I heard in the commentary, there are a couple of more strats which are theoretically possible to be done by a human, but not consistent enough for non-TAS runs? If so, are there any strats like that worth noticing?

Nothing much now, only a few superjumps which only serve to skip areas that you can not return to.
