Tag Team Racing fucking sucked. It's a cool concept but the whole "exploration" mechanic between hub worlds was a fucking clustered mess. On last minute you could unclash and pull a total dick move and just head for the finish. None of the worlds were Crash at all, no beaches, forests, just generic fairy tale worlds and prehistoric levels. You could throw Shrek in it and wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Crash Team Racing on the PS1 was amazing though, Nitro Kart I've yet to play. I put that one down very fast when I was on a Crash Bandicoot hiatus, it felt very generic and uninspired.

It may have ripped off the idea but it sure as hell expanded upon it. It's like what Banjo-kazooie did with Mario 64. It took what Mario 64 did and vastly improved it. The whole "Oh it's a kart racer, it must be ripping off Mario Kart" fad needs to die. Mario Kart may have been the one to start it but other series have the right too. Sorry if I come off as a tad abrasive here, but Crash Team Racing practically expanded upon what Mario Kart did and made it better, tight controls with drifting, and no cheap B.S. items like blue shells to fuck you over. There are items but they're something you'll be able to easily wipe off as the animation that plays when you're hit is incredibly short and you'll be back to driving in no time.

Uh huh, sure Rayfist. Tag Team had that dick move, but guess what happened to the person who unclashed. They get held back, while the other player gets moved ahead. If that isn't fair, I guess nothing is. The world's didn't feel Crash because guess what, it was a Theme Park! Of course it ain't gonna have the exact worlds. Also, some of the earlier Crash games had some generic worlds as well.

And puh-lease, Diddy Kong Racing did more than Crash Team Racing. Not only did it have what Crash Team Racing had, but it also had two more vehicles and terrains to suit their play style. And you also complain that Nintendo is just rehashing the Mario Kart series and that is such BS. Every Mario Kart gets better than its predecessor. And only one Mario Kart gets released every console. Not two or three a console. Just one. Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing just blow Crash Team Racing out of the water.

Crash had quite a lot to offer to the table compared to it's competitors, sure you can argue "Oh Crash 2 starts in a generic jungle", but so much went on in that, it's really no different than Twinsanity (A great game btw, a little flawed and too short, but good). You can really differentiate a "jungle" from the "jungle" in Crash 2. To re-emphasize on what I was saying, not much went on in the hub worlds, the enemies were insanely generic, oh, sorry, I mean enemy, since there's only one (maybe two) you encounter through the entire game, the hub world is a mess. Also I'm well aware, you can unclash on last minute and still pull a dick move and drive right to the finish. Believe me, I gave Tag Team Racing a chance.

>Inclusion of blue shells
The only "improvement" I see is the faster times Lakitu brings you up, they've even casualized the game to a great deal. Remember Double Dash? With skill you were able to avoid blue shells, this is rarely the case anymore. Mario Kart is soley up to luck now rather than skill, it's true. And when the fuck did I say that Mario Kart was rehashed? I've said Mario in general is rehashed. Also you can't tell me leaving out battle mode in Mario Kart 8 is an "improvement", Battle mode was awesome, there's no reason to remove it. I own Diddy Kong Racing, Crash Team racing, AND Mario Kart 64, so seriously, own the games before you make the judgement, christ almighty. BTW what makes Diddy Kong Racing better than CTR? Both have hub worlds, different characters with different stats? Oh yeah, you don't own the games, I forgot. CTR did take inspiration from Diddy Kong Racing though, but I believe it expanded upon it at that.

Wasn't MK8's anti-grav mechanic a literal steal from Crash Nitro Kart? That's something quite memorable I recall from the Crash game and suddenly MK8 shows up with the exact same mechanic and aesthetics for said mechanic years later.

Yes it was and I remember pointing that out on one video (didn't even insult MK8 or said it was bad thing they used anti-grav mechanic like from CNK) only to be attacked by fanboys XD

Crash Nitro Kart also has story unlike MK8 so in some aspects, it is better game but in some, MK8 is.

I disagree, F-Zero did the anti gravity mechanic before both.

Is there any other source apart from this video? Not to be a sour susan, but given how easy it is to fake things, always good to scrutinise.

People are now asking Andy and Jason about it. I guess we now must wait for response.

I've honestly never seen anyone go this far in a 'fake'. Yeah we saw the whole Rayman in smash debacle but that isn't quite like this.

I'm calling it real, but either way I'm still curious of what Andy and Jason say about it. As far as 90's cartoons go it looks very good.

I would watch it too. If Earthworm Jim had cartoon, Crash deserved one too.
I hope pilot episode exist and that it will be leaked.
Battletoads and Bubsy pilot episodes are online.
Now if only Saban's Croc cartoon got leaked
