You're playing the system Saer.
You've been countin' cards!

Seriously though those predictions seem pretty accurate.
Wether or not I'll be participating depends on multiple things, wether or not my laptop is fixed by then, how tired I am, if I'm busy. And most importantly if I can even be bothered. I didn't participate last year because I think I'd gotten over the novelty that it's activity on here, and even then 90% of it is spam. Maybe I'm just being my cynical self but all I see after that is the day at its most basic level, typing nonsense non stop for 24 hours, and thsts just not fun to me.

Of course there's the reward of tings but then the problem is I don't really care about tings, or ranks. At the end of the day I come here because I enjoy talking to a lot of you, not because I want a different picture to appear under my name.

Sorry fo ranting I just needed to vent a little after the day I had, and this has been on my mind for a while. I don't mean to discourage anyone, especially newcomers because it really is fun on your first few years participating.

I'm not sure if I prefer "Supreme Champion" or "Queen of Scotland" but I love both of these titles. :mryellow:

I'll try to be there on whatever date you choose. My only goal will be to outperform Xenon as we have a nice little bet going on - the loser wears a sig made by the winner for a month. So you can definitely expect some high quality contributions from me.

You're damn right I'm good at surprises. I'll make sure to at least beat my record.

Nice to see this happening again :) If I'm free on the day, I hope to be able to hit 1.5k posts! Although I do feel that this years RD maybe quite a quiet one, but we'll see.

8th of August would be best for me! I'll try to reach 2000 this year :)

Looks like everyone agrees that a Saturday in August is a good idea, so I'm setting up the poll now. :)

August, huh? That's a possibility for me, though I may be working by then.

Well, August 22nd looks popular. I'm quite surprised, because from my experience a lot of people are on holiday in late August, at least more than in early August.

I voted for the 22, but... I don't know, things are not like I expected in my life, I don't know if I will be here for the RD.

Probably some folks have a vacation plan during part of their holidays, I suppose. :o

Then why did you only vote for the 22nd?

To be fair though the earlier dates aren't that many votes behind the 22nd. But eh, I voted for all of them since I don't believe I have reason not to be there unless something crops up which I highly doubt.

Something that would help too is if, in addition to voting in the poll, everyone could let us know when they already know they won't be available. This way, we can also take that into account if, say, too many big posters can't make it.

Speaking of that does phpBB not support multi polls on threads? Or is that something you never added on purpose?

I don't think it does, but it's a feature we could implement once we've upgraded the forum.
