That I do, many thanks.
Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
I also know who is going to win this, but I would like to wish good luck to everyone!
Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
Well, I voted, and I know who I hope will win this, but I think it will probably be someone else.

Last day of voting!
Perhaps.
If we actually get more votes so we don't run into another complicated tie breaker again.

Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
OK GUYS THE MOMENT OF TRUTH. We do in fact have a winner of this so let us count down the top 3.
In 3rd place with only one vote we have : Shrooblord!
In 2nd place with 3 votes we have : Haruka!
Meaning that in 1st place, with a total of 4 votes we have : MASTER!

Many congratulations to our top 3 best members as well as the other members who have made it through some quite horrible rounds!
And thus we conclude the contest for this year. The next one for those unfamiliar will be all the way in 2017, maybe you could be first then or even just make it on the list? We'll see when we get there.

I have to say Master's victory came awfully close. It was Haruka in the lead until literally the last 2 votes to put Master ahead.

Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
Haha OCG that's spot on! - and a big congratulations to Master! (and also the others who came 2nd & 3rd)
I'm not sure how well received this would be, but I've just had a thought. Perhaps there should be 2 separate contests? One for staff members, and one for regular members. Because in theory, staff members are much more likely to 'win' over regular members because they're likely contribute a lot to the community in the first place being a moderator. I feel there should be 2 tiers of members. But that's just my opinion.

Huh, that's weird. I didn't win. This surely is a joke! A mistake!
Though in seriousness, Congrats Master!

I'm not going to much into who voted for whom but I can assure you there isn't as much bias as you think. Actually to be exact members seem to be more bias towards people they're friendly with despite how active they currently are.rolesfamily wrote: I'm not sure how well received this would be, but I've just had a thought. Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
That's fair enough, and I do understand. My point is that staff members are more likely to have been more helpful towards other members and have made more obvious contributions to the site/forum. That's why I think it might be good to have a separation because for regular members, a lot of people can't compete with the level of help/contribution. It's not a complaint, it's merely just a potential suggestion for the futureSerza5 wrote:I'm not going to much into who voted for whom but I can assure you there isn't as much bias as you think. Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
Ay what you've said certainly makes sense only the votes i've seen from this don't seem to suggest that at all which is why I said it wouldn't work. Given his devotion to RayWiki and his activity on the forum i'd of bet Master would've won regardless of his mod status. Hell last year it was two regular members against each other for the win (I don't believe I was a mod at that time and Haruka was an ex).
Not that this is meant to come out as criticism on my part just my thoughts on the matter as the host of this years contest.

Re: Who is the Best English Member 2015?!
That's fair enough, I suppose there are plenty of regular members here who contribute a lot regardless of being a staff member or not
- And also there is that personal connection, so I guess it just works! I think this community is lucky to have such helpful and devoted regular members, because from my past experience on other forums staff members can be heads and shoulders above the rest in terms of contribution; but this forum is a rare example!
