Re: Rayman 3
I could if I still had an iPhone.
Re: Rayman 3
iPhone 1 can be bought for cheap these days
Re: Rayman 3
Might as well consider an Iphone that is compatible with iOS8, thus you could enjoy Adventures right away...
Re: Rayman 3
Rayman 2 on iOS was my first version of Rayman 2 and I loved it. My thumbs were perfect, son!
Re: Rayman 3
Whited00r custom iOS firmware might run Rayman Adventures.Pirez wrote:Might as well consider an Iphone that is compatible with iOS8, thus you could enjoy Adventures right away...
Re: Rayman 3
The iOS port is actually pulled from the App Store.

How dare you??!!!Pirez wrote:Might as well consider an Iphone that is compatible with iOS8, thus you could enjoy Adventures right away...
If you bought it back then and still got a backup from iTunes you can still legally install it. Otherwise pirating is the only option right now.Reiska wrote:The iOS port is actually pulled from the App Store.
It doesn't have enough power to render Rayman 2 on it. I believe you need at least and iPhone 3G or 3GS.OCG wrote:iPhone 1 can be bought for cheap these days

Re: Rayman 3
lol OCG recommending hardware that doesn't work in order to get something to play.
Nigga nearly had me spend all my money on a memory card to get a PAL Yakuza 2 working on my NTSC PS2.

Re: Rayman 3
Touch controls are shit, end of story.
Touch controls in Rayman 2 is terrible. Also during playing on Android with ePSXe. Size of control buttons may be changed, though, I don't know how on iOS version. That sumssums up my experience in the iOS port of Rayman 2.
@Bradandez If you still haven't tried to play more seriously Rayman 3, I'm close to recommending PS2 version with 4x native resolution on Full HD display. I'm not 100% sure which version - PC vs PS2 on PCSX2 is better, but I heard somewhere that R3HD on PS3/Xbox 360 is worse. Let's allow to speak out in this case someone else, and you will be able to play on the best posible platform.
Re: Rayman 3
The best version for content is Gamecube, it has the exclusive minigames and contains the Begoniax boss music missing in every other version besides PS2. The best version for playing in HD is strangely Mac, but no one owns it and you need a very old version of Mac OSX to play it. So you have too choices: run the PC version (which is so-so, nothing that makes it good and nothing that makes it bad) or run the GC version (which has more content but poorer visual quality) in an emulator. The PS2 version is hands down the worst of the original releases. It suffers from poor framerate, poor graphics and the only things it has that are missing from the PC version are the Begoniax music and one "Wanna Kick Rayman" video (069). The PS2 version contains nothing the GC version doesn't (well, it has extended level transitions, if that's a thing anyone enjoys). The only version I haven't mentioned is the Xbox version and the HD versions. I don't know much about the Xbox version but graphically it is either on par with or above the PC version, but it can't be emulated and contains the same features as the PC version AFAIK. The HD versions are a mess, black skies in Clearleaf forest, shading issues galore (look at any water in levels after Fairy Council), and a game-breaking glitch. Avoid if at all possible.
Re: Rayman 3
Nice review!
But I was saying about emulated PS2 version, it has nice graphics. And I wondering which version is better - PC or emulated PS2 version with PCSX2. Actually, I had some graphical glitches in this second.

Well PC. As I said, the PS2 version is the worst out of the original releases, especially in terms of graphics.deton24 wrote:Nice review!

Re: Rayman 3
Ok. But you have already used PCSX2 before, and you know how it raises graphics compared to original?.
Re: Rayman 3
Yes PS2 is worst one.

Re: Rayman 3
The PS2 version has the worst graphics of pretty much every multiplatform release of that generation, because it was also the weakest compared to the GameCube and the Xbox.

I don't get tech talk.
Recent update, my copy of Rayman 3 has shipped and should be coming soon!
Re: Rayman 3
All money? Are you joking? For $20 dollars you can have modded memory card but if your PS2 can read backups then you can mod memory card with one burned disc yourself. Also as soon as I found Yakuza 2 cannot work from disc on fat PS2, I warned you on time.Rayfist wrote:lol OCG recommending hardware that doesn't work in order to get something to play.

Re: Rayman 3
A-OK people, maybe you have right. I'll try to compare it soon. But I had always jaw dropped when I was seeing that on an emulator.
Ohh I found something even more interesting:

enb graphic mod.
That would be nice to use it with reshade/sweet fx.
And it's worth to look at widescreen patch:

Re: Rayman 3
No. All this 'modding' stuff you suggest isn't worth it. Unless it's homebrewing. Not worth the investment. And they are unnecessarily complex. Nearly damaged my saturn disc reader doing the 'swap method' you recommended as well. Thank god I own two of them. I'm only sticking to using an action replay to play Japanese Saturn games but that's not modding anything.Oldclassicgamer wrote:All money? Are you joking? Nothing he's saying is even remotely difficult. But I highly doubt the best way to play R3 is via ps2 emulation. BTW the PC version of R3 is the best, but GC has the most content. Though if you don't own the GBA adapter it's a little pointless to get GC version.Bradandez wrote:I don't get tech talk.
