Re: Rayman 3
It's a glitch where you can't go back a world. And when you try, the game sends ya' back to the main menu, and you cannot play the game. Leaving you with a somewhat corrupt Rayglitch 3: 2015, Assasin's Rayfan Uniteh Expansion DLC.
Re: Rayman 3
I tried it once on my RGH Xbox 360 and it is there sadly
Re: Rayman 3
Missed the cage on the snowboarding level...just right before you get to the snowboard...don't like this if you don't cry everytime.

I know it didn't happen on my ps3 version of the game, at least.Hoozang wrote:It's a glitch where you can't go back a world. So why hasn't Ubisoft patched it already?Hoozang wrote:It's a glitch where you can't go back a world. And when you try, the game sends ya' back to the main menu, and you cannot play the game. Leaving you with a somewhat corrupt Rayglitch 3: 2015, Assasin's Rayfan Uniteh Expansion DLC.

Re: Rayman 3
Interestingly enough, this glitch hasn't happened with me...yet.
It's also true that I've barely wasted my lifetime to play R3HD on my 360 after completing my first playthrough.

Re: Rayman 3
There's always the alternative through GOG.com: https://www.gog.com/game/rayman_3_hoodlum_havoc
And the best of all: it is way cheaper.

Now if only GOG.com decided to apply RibShark's widescreen patch

Re: Rayman 3
You can download my patch installer. It should also work with the GOG.com version unintentionally... I specifically designed the patcher and the configurator to run for the retail version but appearently after I decided to make a GOG.com compatible version I realised that GOG.com version uses the same registry keys...

Re: Rayman 3
Gog's always left a bad taste in my mouth. Their solution to fixing R1 still left the game with bits of jitter and it kept repeating songs, Rayman 2 could only be played in a tiny window, and Rayman 3 was a corrupted clusterfuck. I get it, they're old games, but the least they could do is offer clear, tested tutorials, instead of just referring you to the forums, where you just have to hope someone helpful is hanging around.
I found a thread from someone complaining that they had to wait well over a month to be able to play a game, and it took me an entire afternoon just to get the game working myself.

Re: Rayman 3
I assume that you've played some earlier version then, because the latest one works like a charm and also it finally works with the Steam Overlay as well.Keane wrote:Gog's always left a bad taste in my mouth. (...) Rayman 2 could only be played in a tiny window (...)

Here's my Rayman 2 screenshot gallery from Steam, played in fullscreen (1280x1024):

Re: Rayman 3
I will admit Rayman 1's GoG release is bad. Rayman 2's GoG release has been updated since you used it to fix the window issues although the framerate is still poor (for nowKeane wrote:Gog's always left a bad taste in my mouth. Re: Rayman 3
I guess I'll muster up the courage to try my R2 copy again then, is Windows 8.1 gonna mess with it?
On that note, can someone help a tech noob in need and help me out with PC controllers? I've been stuck with shitty handheld versions for years, and I'd like to be able to, say, connect my PC screen to a TV screen, and then use a controller connected to the PC to play the game. Are the Gog versions of R1/R2 at all compatible with PC controllers, and where do I even buy them in he first place?

Re: Rayman 3
I don't think I've managed to get a controller working with Rayman 2, your best bet is probably to use XPadder.
As for getting controllers, I believe Xbox controllers usually work out of the box with PCs (though double check the models in case). The DualShock 3 and 4 also work with a PC too, though the DualShock 3 isn't officially supported and needs custom drivers, DualShock 4 works from the get-go. Of course, there are third party PC controllers available, but if you've got any Xbox or DualShock controllers lying about, why not give them a try?

Ah, that's funny.
Anyways, I know my statment was bold, but damn Rayman 3 is doing everything better than what Rayman 2 did.

Re: Rayman 3
Except that R2 spends more time on building up the story itself, while R3's story is more straightforward and more random, imo.
As of everything else, I admit that R3 is better. I definitely played R3 more times than Revolution.

Brad, for the nth time, please resize pictures in order to not force people to scroll the screen over and over to read other user's posts. Thanks for your understanding.
