Re: The You Game!
< would think that there's no point in making a YouTube channel these days if your aim is to get paid for it. The percentage of all youtubers who actually earn a living or even a decent pay is ridiculously small, and becoming famous on YT is more about luck than anything now.Rayfist wrote:Unfortunately people like Pirez don't see a lot of point in putting so much work only to barely get paid.
<'s YT channel has no ads or anything like that, because even if < could earn a penny or two, < really couldn't be bothered with it.
The only reason you should make a YT channel is if you enjoy making vidoes, not to get money. Even if you did want a decent pay, you would never get there if it was your aim to make money; you have to really enjoy it and treat making videos as a way of having fun rather than a way of making money.

Read <'s response before jumping to a conclusion because < made it clear that's not what < meant.Rayfist wrote:< thinks people were given the impression that < was stating the only reason to do youtube stuff is for the sole purpose of money.
That's not what < means. < means that it's a nice little side thing to have, but < was stating some people, such as Pirez's buddies, find it pointless if they aren't getting any money out of it.
< also has a youtube channel and for a long time < didn't even have a partnership.
Different strokes for different blokes.

< wasn't directing it at you, < was just using that quote as a way of linking <'s post to the topic at hand rather than saying it out of the blue if you see what I mean

< is looking at 2 potential places to live this weekend, for which < is quite excited, but quite nervous at the same time

Gah, clean installing Windows is far more fiddly than < remembers.

< says finding drivers is sometimes also a pain.Master wrote:Gah, clean installing Windows is far more fiddly than < remembers.

< recently did a clean install to get Windows 10 and after the huge laggy mess on <'s old Windows 8 OS it really feels like coming out of a nice clean shower for <

Re: The You Game!
Oh definitely. <'s just not used to doing it on Windows 8.1, < found reinstalling 7 to be easier.
Drivers also were being a pain, < got BSODs from <'s GPU and ended up starting from scratch after a system restore. < decided to get GeForce Experience to update the GPU drivers after < installed them for the second time. Seems like it's done the trick, but <'s going to be cautious still.

Re: The You Game!
Unfortunately < is having a lot of PC related problems.
< was sort of ripped off during the build of this gaming PC as a good chunk of integral parts cease to function or have some abnormalities.
< Needs to invest in a new mobo as one of the ram slots no longer works
< Needs to invest in a new GPU as <'s AMD R9 280X has a massive artifacting issue
< May need to invest in a new CPU fan
< Needs to invest in a new hard drive as well. Nothing wrong with the hard drive just < prefers to get an SSD in the future, kind of low on <'s list compared to the others.
