Re: Any questions on this board?
Is it reasonable to think that once in a while, just every few days or so, it's acceptable to not have a shower that day?
Honestly I think you only need a shower if you can either smell your own sweat or actually see dirt on your skin, and otherwise it's a waste of water. My dad on the other hand believes it's absolutely necessary to have a shower every single day even though he knows I never go out and do any exercise, nor do I get very dirty for any reason.
So, in your opinion, how often do you shower and is it fine to not have a shower every bloody day?

Re: Any questions on this board?
I have a shower almost every day. And I think it's better to have showers often.
Re: Any questions on this board?
In summer I think it's safe to shower everyday, especially if it's hot and you sweat a lot.
But otherwise, yeah, you can skip it if you don't feel dirty, but keep in mind that, while you're accustomed to your own smells, other may not be. They may say you smell while you don't feel anything.

Re: Any questions on this board?
If I had the choice I'd not shower for days on end until I actually needed to. My dad's become a bit of a control freak recently though, so I think it's just down to his wanting me to do whatever he says because 'he's an adult' and all that bollocks more than my smell.
He recently went as far as laughably cheesy movie lines when I complained about his tendency to add chores onto the list he tells me to do only when I finish completing them all, saying 'obey me or suffer' (in reference to the fact that he'll ban me from using the internet for the day if I don't do exactly as he says) in an incredibly bad threatening voice he tried to put on before stomping out of the room like a child...

Don't worry, you'll do that to your own kids in due time. That's what they're for.

Re: Any questions on this board?
Nope. I have to shower everyday. Just thinking about having that layer of filth on you for a whole day just grosses me out.

Re: Any questions on this board?
I shower like 4-5 times a week, I believe it's better for your skin unless you shower cold.
Re: Any questions on this board?
Ooh, better question. Do you guys ever start with a hot shower first and then switch to cold water at the end of it? I do sometimes.
Re: Any questions on this board?
Nope. For me it always needs to be warmer and warmer until the boiler can't oblige anymore. Or cold showers when it's too hot in summer.
Re: Any questions on this board?
I know a guy, he showers with 0°C water.
And where I'm living it is winter time.
