The article hints Eig as boss, and the area is unknown. The video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-FjTmrlMkg I once found also contains the strange bridge and next to it Eig at 0:42. It could be possible that Eig was intended to be a boss fight. I do not know 100%, but this was just my thought.

Alright, we finally understand why that japanese render of Polokus (I found it many time ago in the japanese R2 site) with a cauldron exists. As for the Great Power doors, could these refer to the doors from the PS1 Hall of Doors? Then they apparently were intended to be included in the N64 version, or even all of them.

Interesting screenshot of Eig, Miss-Cerasus suppousition is plausible although by seeing that bridge I would take the risk believing that it is the water ski area where some Lums are located over a wooden bridge but in this case Eig would be seen side to it with other camera angle.

I'm happy to see a bigger image of the Teensies beta screenshot from what seems to be in the Sanctuary of Water and Ice.

Variable expressions? Interesting, I thought that moody expression would be in the whole game when I played that R2 demo.

Ray can climb, swim, swing from vines, slide on ice, even use his hair to fly like a helicopter.

Slide on ice? Maybe they refer to the slippery area of the Sanctuary of Water and Ice but this could mean that a snow/ice level was planned to appear in the game.

Rayman's three friends also give him new moves and powers from time to time. The Magician gives Ray spells, Clark makes him stronger, slinky Ly makes him move faster and Globox can help Ray control the weather.

*Mind blow* Polokus was intended to be the R2 Magician rather than the Spirit of the World (It also answers to a question I retained since a kid: why Polokus owns a magician hat?). As for Clark I am surprised he was intended to give him powers too. Ly had "a minor role" of power giving too.

Interesting screenshots in the second page by the way.

I guess we have more material for RayWiki. Thanks for the find, Miss-Cerasus!

I know I said this many times but it is amazing how still by 2015 we manage to learn new things about the old games!

I was thinking, you can see in this image there is another Rayman.
I was wondering: could the plot be like there been multiple rayman having birth in worlds he has visited and you had to kill them, maybe you could even have their powers (that would justify the multiple transformations they made) ?

As for the original post: I hadn't seen it, but wow! Those aren't unused powerups but early concept art for the existing ones (and they mixed up Shock Rocket and Heavy Metal Fist). They look like they are based on Rayman's R2 look, too (although the shoes are a bit different).
The evolution of the Knaaren concept art and the scrapped creatures are pretty nice too.

Nice observation indeed! The creature wasn't totally scrapped from the game it seems.

As for the post, it was discussed a while ago but the biggest bomb there was definitely the reveal of the original designs of the combat fatigues back in the R2-styled Rayman.

Guys! i dont know if this was posted before but i founded a bit of the rayman map

This is the thumbnail but everyone knows it

And then today i was making some screenshots of different Rayman sites (with web archive ofc) and while searching for the UK version of the rayman 3 site
BAM!

From what i can see i think it actually looks like a map but nothing appears on it :/
EDIT : the picture is tiny but you can actually access it just go to Web Archive and put the link http://www.rayman3.com/uk/home.php you are going to see a warning saying that the hoodlums are searching for rayman and if you right click and then click play this map will appear with an animation
