is there really much point in editing the first post and adding the cahpters? i wouldn't know how to delete the chapter posts either. although i promise to put them all in the same post next time.

and dawn? alot of you may be thinking: dawn isn't a character, 'a new dawn' the title of the story, right? you'd be partly right, but *rubber mark* is closer to the truth. who's dawn? find out later....

rayman stared up at scout. scout was small, but a little scary. his large eye fell off, and scout quickly scooped it up and stuck it back on. raymans suspiciouns were correct...he WAS a doll. a living, hoodlum-look-a-like doll. behind him were some even stranger characters. one was an octopus with a pirates hat and small claw like fingers to hold his sword. the other was a winged monk, who kept his face hidden, apart from some eerie red eyes. another was a creature in a hood with large floppy ears. this person was wearing a backpack with some gyros and gizmos at the back. the final was a fox like creature who looked like some kind of kung-fu crazy maniac. she was also the only female on the team. scout looked at rayman...and shook his hand.
"no..wait..i can guess your name...you must be rayman!" scout laughed and turned to his comrades. "did you all see how that creature took down those livingstones single handedly? brilliant!" a robot bug-like creature emerged, nodding but staying silent, unlike the others, who were chatting away.

later that evening, scout had explained what had happened. while rayman was gone, skops turned the piece of his puzzle into a new being...frost. frost, a powerful magician, had turned the entire of the main land of the tings into a barren, frozen wasteland-where survival is for the fittest. he keeps to himself, but has put skops in charge of guarding his castle. rayman looked angrily at scout. "what about my father? on the prison ship?" scout lowered his head."the ship was taken down by frost who put all of the prisoners into his own prison. last time i counted, there were 23333 prisoners inside. and i propose" said scout with an air of adventure, "..that we inform dawn."

frost magician...

hey....what do you mean not THAT bad?

frost magician looked out at the snow. cold, beautiful snow. he plucked an icicle from his window, and used it to harpoon an escapee clambering out of the prison. For a magician who uses strength rather than offence, he had a suprisingly good aim. he went inside to his room to greet his nobles.
sitting on his throne of lava[he d cold seats, because they were even colder than the frost and snow outside] he allowed all six of his royal minikros to enter.
"right" said frost magician, coldly [see what he did there!] "parliament has begun. what do my subjects have to tell me." a small minikro stepped forwards.
"well, do you think we could have a few months of summer? or spring?" frost magician glaned angrily at his subject, even if you could only see his red, evil eyes. "i see, you'd like some days of summer?" the minikro smiled and nodded. frost magician started chuckling. they both started laughing, and frost magician whipped out his finger. in a few seconds, poor adolphus the minikro had become yeti food. frozn in a block of ice, his eyes moving and his mouth screaming....but you can't help what you can't hear. frost magician laughed. "pity, what a waste. and such a lovely person-gave me the idea of the prison in the first place. guards!" several large yetis in armour appeared, "take this one to the fanace, and churn him...into gold! that is all: this parliament is at an end."

rayman took a look round the area. the one not covered in ice and snow, he thought, with a sigh. it was all...coming back to him. saving betilla. helping moskito. dropping plums on peoples heads. it was fun while it lasted, he guessed. out came scout, beaming with happiness. "so, you like the place." rayman thought. "i do..but we've got to get moving. we havn't seen dawn yet. either you take us, or i'm going alone." scout smiled. "i hoped you'd ask. let's get everyone together...it's going to be a long trip." globox was sticking jam to sheets of paper. reflux was chasing a mouse. ly was meditating. scout saw what rayman was thinking."all right, i'll leave them here. we need to consult MY team."

anyway, i think it's time we returned to the tings at the beginning of this fanfic.

the two tings walked into the house. empty, down to the last floorboard. the shy ting looked up. someone-or something was watching them. the ting then felt a strange presence fall over him. his friend turned...oh god. were tings even meant to have evil red eyes. the red eyed ting laughed, and pointed to the sky. "i brought you here...and now i'm gonna get you for the wuss that you are." as he laughed, he became bigger, darker, and several strange creatures bound the poor ting. with his hands tied up, he did the only thing he could: run. but the monsters were too fast, and crowded over him. as he looked at his evil friend-turned monster, he heard 5, last words, that were for him, echoingly familliar.
"it's not nice to stare......"

midnight tied up the rope. he gave a up sign to scout. scout returned the gesture. "see how efficeint my team are?" he beamed with pride. rayman was impressed, despite the fact that a pirate and a monkish vampire were on the team. he turned to scout.
"so whats the plan?" scout whipped out a plot of the idea, and showed it to rayman. "it's quite simple-my top driver zippy will use his car and rope to pull that boulder over. then, midnight will become a werewolf and destroy the blockage. then, captain kraken will duel against dawns henchman-if he beats him, he'll lets us go to the palace of dawn, and thats where we pose the question." now rayman was impressed.
captain kraken stepped towards dawns henchman, and decided some piracy was needed.
"so, landlubber, you think you can deal with an octopus?" the guard egded nervously.
"i'm ready for anything, captain, especially beating the crud out of you!" kraken laughed. "ye sound like you've been abusin the grog, laddie. rule number one: i don't do weaklings." the guard pounced. rayman saw how good kraken was at dueling. he was lunging to and fro, avoiding every attack. kraken eventually gained the upper hand, and the guard miserably let them past. rayman was still impressed. if only his friends were like this.
upon coming to the palace, several footmen opened the dor as the team + rayman came in. and on a throne in the far corner, sleeping lazily, wearing a crown, a magicians neck frill and snoring...was the hippo known as dawn.

okay, i'm not going to be able to write this for a week, but i will try and make some more fanfics .

woah! spaceray, havn't heard about you for a while!

btw, i've rehersals every night at my school for the music show, but it should clear up by next week. and scout is going to be recieving alot of his adventures soon....
