The Wall-breaker
Facing a wall of candidates, you must correctly answer to the questions which you will be asked by selecting the good answer. Do to so, you can be helped by your own knowledge, your jokers or chance (1/3 chances of a good answer). One single bad answer and you're eliminated !!!
How much time will you survive the wall?
As you may have guessed, Wall-breaker is another trivia-game but this time one nice fellow will be selected to compete against all the others. It's a game that I wanted to try on this forum, and I hope you'll like it. The theme of this game is Disney
[center]How is it played?[/center]
1. People who wish to sign up do it by answering in this forum. Once enough people have signed up, the game will start.
2. Random.org will select one candidate from all the others as the challenger. He/she will compete against all the other, which will constitute the wall
3. The theme of the question is randomly selected amidst : - The Disney classics of animation
- The Disney movies (including Touchstone pictures)
- The animated series
- The shorts, sequels and other motion pictures
- The video games
- Other Disney licenses
Once a theme is selected, it can't come up again before using all the other possible themes. The host asks the question.
4. The wall answers. At first, the answers are confidential et 100% individual. The wall candidates do not group to answer and cannot see the answer of their fellow candidates. In order to answer, you just have to post a new message in this topic an choose A, B or C in spoilers.
5. Once the wall is done answering, the challenger answers the question (WITHOUT looking the wall's answers). He can help himslef with 3 jokers. He anwsers publically without spoilers.
6. The host unveils the right answer. The wall candidates who are wrong are eliminated. Those who are right carry on to the next question and we go back to step 3. If the challenger is correct, he gains access to the next question. Otherwise the game ends and the wall wins. If there is nobody standing in the wall, the challenger wins, and the challenger becomes the host of the following game.
[center]The jokers[/center]
The wall candidates each have one joker, the Bouclier (shield), allowing them to skip automatically to the next question.
The challenger, on the other hand, has 3 jokers :
- The Omniscience : He is allowed to see the answers of the wall candidates.
- The Elimination : He can eliminate a wrong answer from the question (at random).
- The Refus (refusal) : He can change the question. The answers given by the wall are canceled. Everything happens as if the original question was never asked.
[center]The answering limit[/center]
The wall has 24 hours to answer. No more, no less. If a wall candidate hasn't answer, his Bouclier is automatically used. If it was already used, he is eliminated. The challenger also has 24 hours to answer. If he doesn't, his Refus is automatically used. If it was already used, he is eliminated.
If you answer after the 24-hour limit while I haven't updated the topic, the answer will be accepted. But you take a huge risk trespassing this limit.
[center]What are the questions like?[/center]
[center]In which movie do we see Simba as the protagonist?
A. The Lion King B. Harpic Fraîcheur C. Alladin[/center]
A wall candidate writes his answer between spoilers. He cannot look the answer of other candidates. If he cannot answer, he can use his Bouclier or randomly answer.
Once the wall is done answering, the challenger answers publically but without looking at the wall's answers. If he doesn't know the answer, he can use a joker or randomly answer.
[center]Phases and events[/center]
A phase is divided into six questions, each having one of the differents proposed themes. In between phases, a random event can occur. If it does, an additionnal (but harder) question is proposed to the challenger and the wall. Only the quickest and the brightest players will benefit. But the reward may just be a fallen joker.
So, who is up for the task?
EDIT : apparently, the [center] bbcode doesn't work... Damned.

Re: The Wall-breaker
I HAVE TO JOIN THIS GAME!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!! Can you ask questions about Illuminati? Disney is Illuminati, then..
Re: The Wall-breaker
<TLDR> Game --> Questions : 3 propositions, 1 good answer. Disney themed.MrBadGuy wrote:Can someone give me the gist of that, there is absolutely zero chance of me reading it
Players --> Two types : challenger (1), wall (everybody not challenger). It's Challenger VS Wall.
Turn --> I ask question, wall answers in spoilers (within 24h), challenger answers, I check the answer. Wrong answer? You be eliminated.
Objective --> Every member of the wall is eliminated (Challenger wins) or Challenger is eliminated (Wall wins)
if (you == Challenger) { You have 1 joker : Bouclier (aka skip question) }
else if (you == Wall) { You have 3 jokers : Omniscience (aka see the wall's answers), Refus (force me to ask easier question), Elimination (force me two remove 1 of 3 proposition of the question) }
</TLDR>
Re: The Wall-breaker
Cheers, I think I get it now. You can call me the "Wall-of-text-breaker"
Sounds like fun if I understand it correctly
