Re: Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer!
It's a weird fact. You'd think are in New Nepal. Because the book was only released after 2007, and given that the Big War that it caused hadn't happened at this time, it would seem logical that today… New Nepal, right? Where ELSE?
Except that there is a missing factor in that reasoning. David Khurt.
Now, what's the link, you ask? Wasn't it already solved a long time ago? If are in the Pacific Ocean between 1976 and 2008, then David Khurt would have just seen a fragment of the afterlife, and that's it. BUT, we would there neglect the fact that there are TWO Khurt. I know, I know, there's still debates around that, but it's the only explanation we got yet.
Let's say the multiverse brought us the Khurts here, around 2005, on the death of one of John Paul II. That WOULD mean that New Nepal, where at this time are in a vortex of void that is likely to explode in only a decade, is the place where is taken for a quite long time. But the Atlantis army, as we know, was already attacking. And since centuries ago, the movie industry wasn't really adapting any video-game (well, I don't count Mayans virtual worlds as video-games), the financial interest in the process of would not exist at all.
THEREFORE, in order for the economy to be stabilized again, it has been decided by, and, and also, that exchanges between one reality and another should be strictly forgiven. And that the name of, , , and, and maybe, would be erased from the space continuum once the technology of would make it possible. Currently, it's estimated for 2030 or later. Well, if David Khurt is human, of course.
Until then, well, New Nepal is not really an option. Since there is chances that it would create another paradox, that would definitely break the LHC, and in that case create an Improbability Wave the size of half our Solar System. And by definition, we can't predict in what that would result.
So yep, that's why aren't in New Nepal. Sucks pretty much, I know, but at least we've got a pretty decent Mad Max sequel.
How to fill emptiness?
