I can't seem to get mapper to import maps
getting cannot create directory
Help please?

If you put the maps you want to import in the Raykit directory and import them from there it usually works. Not sure about Optimum but it fixed the problem with the GOG version

That's odd, because i had originally put the maps into that folder and it was giving me errors, now its fixed.

to be honest i am still waiting for a rayman 1 game that includes everything optimum has, plus every improvement the psx and satunr versions had (saturn/psx sound effect and upgraded graphics, the rayman walking intro, the fully anymated story, and psx corrections made over the sega saturn(backgrounds correctly placed and the extra sprites added to the...foreground, and rayman animations), even maybe some of the dsi ones, (dont remember but i know there are some(and i am not talking about the minimap), of course, the pc exclusive levels like the first one on bandland(i dont remember any other XD), that would be the rayman 1 PERFECT edition
yeah i know it would require a lot of work, but one can dream, right?

Does anyone here (legally) owns Rayman Forever from GOG.com? I heard there was an installer update in the meantime.

Where did you hear those news?
Also if there was any update, they probably just fixed the false virus report or maybe soundtrack but I doubt it.
Even if they did, GOG.com version is still far inferior to Optimum and I do not recommend anyone getting it.

As someone who originally bought the GOG version, yeah, this is pretty much true. It has a lot of issues with sound, framerate and loading times. Also, the original soundtrack isn't in the GOG version since it's the original PC version of Rayman which had to cut it out as it was too large for the CD rom to hold it at the time.

Just found rayman optimum and installed it, but the confige.exe will not launch, I recently installed to window 10. Could that be the issue causing it to not launch?

Didn't test the installer but the programs work fine under Windows 10.

It installs fine but when I try to launch the config.exe it loads for a moment then nothing, I also tried running it as administrative. When I try to play the game it get dumped into dos and nothing works. Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Snagglebee might need to tweak something. Try using compctibility mode?
