The podcast was recieved for free from patreon by the person who shared it here actually, so we could have all just signed up for the patreon and got it for free. There's no difference.
Also, nothing of yours was stolen still, you do not own the information or images.

Let's get a few things quite clear here. The vidocs are not "$10", or even $5. The vidocs are released for free on my YouTube channel at my leisure. HOWEVER, I give them to Unseen64 to host on their Patreon for early access. I make sure they make them available to all members of the Patreon ($1 and up) so anyone can afford to give a little and nice little bonus back in return.

I do all of this work for free and I make zero money from it. All of the money generated from any of this goes either to keeping Unseen64 online by paying server bills, or to a charity of my choice. It is 100% non-profit.

I would have released all of this stuff for FREE eventually if you had just fucking waited. But no, you rats feel you're entitled to steal content from their Patreon, powering a site ran solely by 2 or 3 people.

IMO, this is completely understandable. In my opinion, you created the video and the script for the video (and the podcast) and those should never have been distributed, as that is just piracy. When I made this topic I expected people to try and gather the information and images that you have no legal right over, but I never expected they would release the content you made and deserve money for if you want to charge. I wasn't prepared to (and can't afford to) pay the Patreon subscription fee so I decided that I was not going to listen to the podcast or watch the video until you released them free of charge, even though they were made illegally available here. I'm so sorry that some members here decided to release the podcast like this, and I now wish I had waited until the content was released on YouTube before creating this topic.

I don't believe the video was made available here, only the podcast which was freely obtained from patreon anyway.
I'm still not in agreement with sharing such things, but we haven't really done anything wrong in the big picture, we haven't leaked the video nor made profit off of it so there's no reason to feel that your video's profits will be damaged, I'd still watch it.

Also I can bet you're okay with information being leaked as long as it doesn't affect you (à la Snowden) because you're so quick to jump on a lost cause. Thank you for understanding. I have no personal issue with yourself, so we're cool. I would have released all of the content for free eventually, but the fact that people ripped the podcast and screens from the video is just disgusting to me. As for the research/info, I am less bothered about that. It was my research that was distributed without my approval, which was incredibly rude and disrespectful in my opinion, but that's whatever. I know it's not illegal.

I just wish you all could have waited, instead of trying to exploit a small site and then trying to justify it to yourselves with ridiculous notions that we're trying to charge for it. The option of donating money to gain access for it was TOTALLY OPTIONAL and it was always going to be made free in good time.

Research = not an archeological discovery, this was information about Ubisoft's intellectual property. Not yours.

1) I obtained direct permission to distribute the screens. You pirates did not. The intention was that they wanted people to view the video to understand the ordeal they went through in order to view them.

2) Wrong. It was "obtained" legally, but it was not meant to be distributed in this way to all. It was meant exclusively for Patrons. You are completely and utterly wrong about this. The way you guys re-uploaded it without my permission was disgusting.

3) What relevance is that? It was still my research. I did the leg work. It's a matter of principle that I asked people to fucking wait. It's not a legal matter. It's a matter of respect.

I'm not complaining that you've somehow "damaged" me in some business way, or whatever. It's a matter of principle.

You know Tamaki, I guess I'd feel bad for myself if the content you "created" was actually new, but it really wasn't. 90% of the information was already knew for years and the stuff you claim to have gathered is originating partially from here since this community had been gathering informations about the project since it was relevant back then. Don't think that those 2 screenshots showing Rayman standing on flat textures surrounded by untextured blocks and darkness justifies you though I agree that the means I got access to this stuff were somewhat questionable indeed.
I was preparing myself to actually pay 10 dollars for something I was anxious to know anything about for more than a decade and the new informations I got for it was almost zero, save for 2 or 3 concept art pieces. This community have already had numerous occasions where various different persons were asked about stuff regarding the development of Rayman games (actual game developers were asked!) and the info we've gathered for FREE by simply asking them were many times the amount that you've presented in your video.

If that makes you feel any better I didn't actually share the R4 video because I see no reason to do so. I'll leave the pleasure of paying money for almost nothing for some other desperate Rayman fan who's super excited to know something about one of his/her favorite childhood video game franchise.

Also, I'm not planning to actively rip you off by constantly releasing all the stuff that you make available for "Backers only", but you must understand that I'm eager to get any informations regarding this project and after seeing the actual amount of new content you had after I thought I've paid 10 dollars I was extremely pissed off and even though that later I found out that I didn't actually had to pay anything for it I was still disapppointed. I guess I can be pretty arrogant sometimes.

Anyway I'm almost sorry, but I'm kind of not.
