Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
I know some worlds in Rayman 2 allude to the Pirates pollution, such as in the Fairy Glade, but I don't think they went all out on a completely overrun area.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Well since there's no way such an area would normally exist in the Glade of Dreams, it could be part of the storyline. Maybe earlier/later we would get to see the area in its unspoiled form.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Ehhh, I know you were bumping, but considering the tiny gap between posts, I'd have just deleted and reposted an edited version of the previous one.
Either ways, some nice ideas for worlds, though holiday themed levels as a main thing...ehh, for Xmas, snow worlds, which was done in R3 and Origins. And for Halloween, well, the Cave of Bad Dreams or the Tomb of the Ancients have that creepy feel, but I'm assuming you're thinking more on the lines of a Ghost House.
A techno world would be pretty neat, I remember an image of Rayman in a matrix style, don't know if that's still about. And as for Space, yeah, one thing I've yearned to see is the Robot Pirate Homeworld, seems like Space is a way there.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
The holiday themes were inspired from the Day of the Dead world in Legends. I don't mean just a snow world or horror world, I mean that holiday being the theme.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
I see, though I personally don't think the events have the same extreme flair as Fiesta de las Meurtos. But you never know.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
This thread is pretty x-treme i'm bringing it back
The new games did a pretty good job at reintroducing the more surreal environments R1 had but I'd like to see it return to something like those really mysterious, vague moods Band Land and Picture City had. They always give me a feeling of being very unpredictable places that aren't necessarily inviting or dangerous, they just make no sense to any kind of logic you try to apply to it and you kinda gotta go with its flow. If that makes sense.
And as generic as it sounds, I'd like to see something like Clearleaf Forest and the Menhir Hills again. The forest + amateurish, hand-crafted outpost look is really iconic to me and it's a neat way to show that folks in the Glade are actually capable of creating structures and machinery rather than just living in untouched biomes, even if it's villains that do it.
Other than that, just, someone get Michel Ancel to really like Ori & The Blind Forest because imagine:

but with rayman

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Funny enough that game is in my wishlist for some months and it surely owns some fabulous landscapes.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Game sure looks impressive. Must consider purchasing it on Steam during Christmas sale.
I was sure that game was made by Ubisoft but I see that is not case.

a more objectively right statement hasnt been made since my opinion of rayman 2

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
No shit it looks prettier! It's gonna be releasing this year. When did Legends come out? 2013. Of course, Ori has some more advanced engine to render the graphics into making them look better.

They're both hand drawn. And Ori was made by a smaller team.Bradandez wrote:No shit it looks prettier! It's gonna be releasing this year. When did Legends come out? 2013.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
ori has prettier art, the areas feel more cared about and it's much more interesting than the glade in rayman legends. it's kind of the game i wanted origins/legends to be, excluding gameplay.
