Oh god, that snapshot sound. There were so many times I would forget about it's existence on the bus, only to get awkward looks from fellow passengers when it went off.

I still do not understand why there was not a single option to mute the camera snapshot or even to deactivate the photos.

The reason is that in Japan and some other countries it is illegal for cameras to not make a sound when taking a photo, because otherwise no one would know if a photo was taken. Because of this companies like Nintendo who are based in Japan do not allow the camera to be muted. I think it would have been a good idea to deactivate the photos in Rayman DSi though.

Now that is something I had no idea. But still...

Keane wrote:Yeah what was up with the DSi port anyway? The music sounds too low, but the sound effects are so loud they disort, with the Magician going "TINGGZ PLEAZZ", the annoying snapshot from every checkpoint, and that Magician minigame with plum vines where the sound effects get so fucked that it sounds like the game is moaning.

I guess I did kinda like having looped tracks though. They should've had like 3-4 per area but I remember it getting really atmospheric with the Space Mama theme playing during the darker Picture City sections.
The Quality of ALL the Sounds and music Sounds Abit broken Its just that you can bearly hear the music
And what where they thinking blasting the sounds to full volume? It adds up to the factor that the music can be barely heard
Also that snapshot Noise. It woke my whole fucking family once but never found out who it was

Does anyone know if the Rayman Gold demo is official? I found it here: http://www.fileplanet.com/11000/10000/f ... -Gold-Demo
I tried it using DosBox and it seems to be like Rayman Designer but without music and with different levels, though the levels share the same name as the ones in Rayman Designer...

Hello guys. The old dusty cat is back again. I have not yet beat Rayman 1, even with life cheats.

What is a good CPU cycle speed for dosbox? 14000 cycles works good for me. Automatic is horrible. When level changes (for example hitting the magician), things goes very fast or in slow motion.

I hit Pencil Pentathlon and I saw this: http://i.imgur.com/Ef2ouoY.png

A secret area at the end?! How do I get there?

I believe you can get there by grabbing the first purple lum in the area and then going right instead of down. I think there's a cage up there?

I have the GOG version which comes with DosBox already configured. It seems like they put 80000 cycles on Rayman 1 which works fine for me

Howdy! Welcome back! :o

As for the secret area, have you tried to do a leap of faith with the helicopter and equiped with the quick telescopic fist?
