Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Rayman 3 seemed like a very feminist game in the pre-production. Thanks for the link

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
You call it a feminist game because it occasionally contains females here and there?DandyGuy wrote:Rayman 3 seemed like a very feminist game in the pre-production. Thanks for the link
I'd say that something like Totally Spies would be feminist. Pretty awesome nonetheless though. xD

No just the way that lady talks in "Hoodlum Headquarters" It seemed sexual for some reason.SpyroGuy wrote:You call it a feminist game because it occasionally contains females here and there?DandyGuy wrote:Rayman 3 seemed like a very feminist game in the pre-production. Thanks for the link

How is someone speaking in an erotic way got anything to do with Feminism?
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Obscure artworks? nice, i'm going to download it nowHaruka wrote:I was organizing some messy folders and files when I found out a non-much known Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc screensaver that I had stored. I installed it and had a look to see what's about. Impressively enough I found few artworks that are really obscure (you could only find few in low resolution in Rayman 3 Print Studio) while others were never seen in other kind of media.
I invite you guys to have a look: http://www.mediafire.com/download/69nuw ... _setup.zip
Also, could this be the female Hoodlum of the Headquarters?

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
This whole side discussion reminds me of that other Origins related "argument" regarding the nymphs.
"OHMEHGAWDWHATISTHISSEXISMINAKIDSGAME!!!"
Sheesh.
Stuff such as this is MILES AWAY from anything even remotely resembling sexism.

It appeared feminist to me. I don't mean to offend.

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Isn't Feminism a political term, btw?
Something like even rights for both genders, I'm not too informed in the topic. How does that relate to the random intercom voice of Hoodlum HQ? xD

You're not being offensive, you just seem confused.DandyGuy wrote:It appeared feminist to me. I don't mean to offend.
Yeah it's exactly that.SpyroGuy wrote:Isn't Feminism a political term, btw?

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Despite that I'm starting to get what DandyGuy meant in one way or another.
R3 undoubtedly has a few "dirtier" jokes and lines here and there, but these are just adding to the overall experience.
Some stuff I had no reason to notice and/or care about are becoming more obvious as the years pass and that's the true spirit of "E for Everyone".
People of all ages can enjoy the game, because it has stuff in it for everyone which SHOULDN'T be a problem for anyone. This also applies to the nymphs of Origins. I was kind of missing them from Legends' Origins section.

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
She IS in the game at Hoodlum HQ where the player's progression is restricted by a shooting gallery minigame.Eren wrote:Wow!some of these are really amazing, thanks a lot for sharing the screensaver Haruka

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
I understand how some people might find the Nymphs design in the games sexist as they are sexualised and they're in cages and need to be rescued... the rating doesn't count as the game wasn't made by kids. You can get sexist PG films.SpyroGuy wrote:R3 undoubtedly has a few "dirtier" jokes and lines here and there, but these are just adding to the overall experience.

Tbh there are way worse games with sexism in them than Rayman Origins...

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Indeed. Even Who Framed Roger Rabbit was ok for me, because it was damn hilarious and this content is indeed not created by toddlers for toddlers.

The thing is about Jessica Rabbit, it's just a harmless joke because she's married to Roger Rabbit.

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
You're right indeed. What I really meant is to note the similarities between the two, because she might be some scrapped character left in as an easter egg just like some of the creatures in Razoff's Mansion and inside the ice cubes of TLotLD.Eren wrote: Yes i know that, i ended rayman 3 four times but in the shooting gallery part you can see thisnot that one
probably i just have a shitty memory, i don't know
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
I found in my picture collection after tidying up some folders that were messy with all kinds of files.
By the way, check out some more obscure R3 scenarios here:

Credits to Miss-Cerasus who originally found this page. (Her abilities to find these things never ceases to amaze me!)

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
I literally cannot put those desert pictures anywhere.
The model says R2 and it COULD be a cut area of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, but the setting's overall design suggests that it's probably an unused area for the Knaaren Desert.

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
I am sure it could be from a very, very early Rayman 3 built, since the beta pictures seen on Unseen64 look kinda similiar to these Christophe Bourges posted. The beach area could be scrapped or it was really intended to be the start of developing Rayman 3! Who knows. I am surprised that Rayman's health bar was yellow first and later got red for unknown reasons. Same with collecting gems, because pictures and videos show how Rayman collected crowns in early BETA's.
Anyway, I'll asked a dev for Rayman Arena if he has unused animations from Rayman Arena to show me. I was surprised to get an answer, since many dev's won't write back for being busy or disinterested, so he told me he must find few DVD's to get them. He said he cannot guarantee me to find them. So let us hope he can show us something cool Rayman Arena related!
