Well, < wasn't all too sure who [Davros] was, as < still has to catch up on some episodes from season 3 and 4.
Oh, and the end of the episode confused me for a bit

Being that the episode was all about him, < thought it was pretty self-explanatory?

Well it was, but at the start < had no idea and the look on the Doctor's face when he said who he was confused me

Yeah < isn't very good at names so < forgot. But it made sense when he showed his face.
Well, to sum it up.
[Davros is a disfigured Kaled (what the Daleks were before they mutated into the blobs inside) Scientist who was responsible for the creation of the Daleks. The child is meant to be a young Davros, stuck in a hand-minefield. The Doctor attempted to save him initially, before he knew who he was. At the end of the episode, he somehow returns to the scene, and seems to want to now destroy him so that the deaths of Clara and Missy are averted, as without him, there'd be no Daleks.]
< recommends watching [Genesis of the Daleks] from Classic Who if you want a better understanding of [Davros]. It's not mandatory as they're explained reasonably well in the [Series 4 finale], but it's their first appearance and a lot of what this episode harkens to originates from that one.
