Dude your video was great, I love the animated route you took (especially the frame for every 'erm') and the stories were really amusing! Also the intro made me laugh out loud the first time the games were chucked at you!ikke471 wrote:It hurts you guys never even commented on mine :c

Thanks for the kind words on our video so far, we worked really hard over the last two and a half weeks to make it as concise and fancy as we could and I had to learn a few new tricks to pull of some of the effects. It was certainly good greenscreen practice, that set up of which we haven't used much yet!
Random little facts about he making of the video:
- Every second of Stacey's dog Jessie on screen were the only seconds in a row we could get her to sit still, one frame later she is jumping up and down for her treat again!
- The shot of Stacey jumping from one costume to the next took the longest to get shot, as Stacey had to change costume and make up for each one!
- The intro shot includes a unfinished animation Stacey was once making that is a parody of the Smooooch! Beatmania animation.
- You may of noticed it but when Stacey is playing Rayman 1 we are using a password to play those specific levels, hence why Rayman has 90-odd lives!
- The backgrounds for the greenscreen scenes were captured from Rayman Revolution using a Playstation 2 emulator.
Oh by the way I have added subtitles to the video now if you click the subtitles/CC option.

Marvelous job you two, I could feel your love for Rayman all over the videos. It's kinda funny though, Ikke's story isn't that much different by my own; the biggest difference being that R3/Arena were the games to inspire me instead of Rayman 1, and also that I'm still in high school.Cairnie wrote:Got my entry here:
Still waiting on it to appear on the gallery. My BF and I worked really hard on this so wish us luck!

Fun fact. I've had multiple people tell me that my video brought them back to the good old days and reminded them about their first time playing a Rayman game.dartofthedavros wrote:Marvelous job you two, I could feel your love for Rayman all over the videos. One of my friends even said my video made him cry haha.

Really impressive collection
Re: I Love Rayman Fan video contest via Ubi
Cool vids guys. Anyone know the guy who is currently in first place? Is he a member of RPC?
Re: I Love Rayman Fan video contest via Ubi
Is it bad that I hope people here have just been voting for RPC members vids?
Re: I Love Rayman Fan video contest via Ubi
Nope, I feel the same.
We need a RPC member to win so we can get all the juicy intel - first-hand!
Re: I Love Rayman Fan video contest via Ubi
Exactly! We could get all our questions together to be answered and see photos etc...Bzzit wrote:Nope, I feel the same.We need a RPC member to win so we can get all the juicy intel - first-hand!
I got my video in quickly because it's a voting system (also it was the only chance I could go home and grab the rest of my collection). But I wonder if the voting is going to affect the choice in the winners because then it's not fair for those who get theirs in at the end of the month?

It's not.
The rules say the video will be chose by an official judge.
The votes hold no relevance.

Well, didnt the rules also state the videos had to fit in a category?

Yeah, which is also annoying if that doesn't count as some people's videos are very random and other's tried to stick to what the legal document read
Re: I Love Rayman Fan video contest via Ubi
Oh yeah, we should do so for all the RPC contests.ikke471 wrote:No one knows.Acarr wrote:Then what's the point

From what I've seen until now, so far my top favourites are Cairnie's and Ikke's videos. Both have strong chances to win, and I hope any of you does!
I want to give special mention to Imco, I really like the music you did for your entry.
I loved the game throwing part!
I've also been thinking lately and I was wondering if I should submit a video despite of my country not being eligible for participation. I don't really have anything to lose and I just want to express myself in this special event that is Rayman's 20th anniversary. It is difficult to ignore such an important date.
