Yeah, I have already seen the most unfair contest for Europeans. Seriously, there are more European countries not added on list than ones added. I even made a list of all European countries that are not accepted on this contest:Motormike wrote:You guys must have seen this video contest for the 20th anniversary?

And I'm pretty sure that there's a massive number of Vatican City residents who are crying their eyes out right now.
Who knows, maybe the current Pope is a Rayman fan as well...what about him? xD

Re: [Book] The History of Rayman, Pix'n Love Editions.
This isn't really about the History book, but instead the Legends booklet that came with the earlier copies. I had a friend asking about mine, and I was wondering if it was ever released anywhere else so maybe I can help him get a copy.
The Origins book was pretty common in the United States, but I am pretty sure the Legends book never made over here with any preorder.

I had no idea such thing was included with Rayman Legends game. Any source that proves it was?
Re: [Book] The History of Rayman, Pix'n Love Editions.
I only know that it was exclusively bundled with the 500 copies of the Origin edition of the book.
Re: [Book] The History of Rayman, Pix'n Love Editions.
Yep, I received mine. I don't think it was bundled with game however. Heck, game was already out before the book was made.
Re: [Book] The History of Rayman, Pix'n Love Editions.
Just a suggestion. Couldn´t someone who wants to scan and upload the book, just wait until the book is completely out-of-print? I define out-of-print when the book cannot be bought by major re-tellers, such as Amazon, Target or Walmart. That way, the author and the publishing company can make money and they would not lose any money by scans, since the book is out-of-print. That way, it doesn´t matter to them if the book is scanned or not.
I do not know french, so I cannot read the book even if the book was scanned.

Well, that's presumably going to be a long time in the future. And anyway, copyright still technically lasts for almost a century (or even more).
Re: [Book] The History of Rayman, Pix'n Love Editions.
I do not know how many of these books are left in stock, so I cannot comment on that. If someone has statistics and plotted a number of books sold vs year graph, we could do an estimate using a line of regression to see when the books would get out-of-print (I assume the line would be inversersely proportional).PluMGMK wrote:Well, that's presumably going to be a long time in the future. Technically, it would still be illegal to scan and upload them yes, but it wouldn´t really hurt the author or the publishing company since they already have sold off the books and made money, unless they plan on re-publishing them at a later date which I believe is unlikely since it is a collectors item. I was just offering a suggestion based on OCG´s post that the book shouldn´t be scanned to not hurt the author.
Alternatively, you could ask a library (presumably in a french-speaking country) to buy the book, so people can borrow it. May be some people even can donate their copies to a library. Just a suggestion.OCG wrote: reason why I won't scan is /.../ for author

I wish they would translate this. I heard it has information about the cancelled Rayman 4 in it.

Re: [Book] The History of Rayman, Pix'n Love Editions.
I think someone on this forum did actually try to translate the book, but since it was deemed illegal by the editor, it was forced to be removed. It's a shame, but unless Pix'n Love decides to release an official English version of the book, there's nothing that we can do I think. Another reason for me to learn French so that this obstacle won't be a problem!!

The official English version was supposed to follow the French one fairly speedily and fix some of the errors, but somehow it never materialized.
