He asked for general state of game and when will it be released.
Re: Rayman - AFG
I'll try to upload a new beta in a few weeks, right now the development is unfortunately rather slow since a very few people of the team (2 out of 8 including me
) have spare time to work on it. But be assured it's still progressing in the right path.
Some nice little things have been done recently such as:
-the hunter now shoots actual rockets

-new rayman scarf!
-Rayman now catches a platform border even he's moving in the opposite direction, meaning if his back is near a border he will automatically hang on. It mimics Rayman 2-3 behaviors.
-Refined hanging animation for the idle and the jump.
-The camera was moving very fast when rayman was catching a border because his whole body is snapped near the border at a specific position. This camera shake was quite ugly and disturbing, now the camera smoothly tracks the new rayman position.
-... a many things i forget to mention
Current main goals are:
-add livingstone enemies
-make more vegetations models to make the jungle looking like a jungle (new plants, mushrooms...). Looking at Rayman 1 dream forest, the variety of vegetation is quite incredible (more than 15 different plants)
-expand the level to its end
-make an input key binder in-game, wich is a bit tricky since Unity has not this native feature (keys are only customizable before the game is run by filling in the prompt window) but half of the code is done since I found a good template to do this. Now the challenge is to make a proper window config for it in the pause menu.

Woot!
Have just completed the key binder menu and made a short tutorial to guide the player as a bonus at the beginning of the level
Now it's time to focus on 3d assets again, enough hard coding!

Re: Rayman - AFG
This is shaping up nicely, dude! I'm loving the blend of Rayman game styles. It's coming along really well!
Re: Rayman - AFG
Wow, this looks fantastic! I'll play the demo tomorrow, or when I get the chance.
Also, I can make 3D models in Blender, and I'd be happy to help out with this project!

Great! I'm also happy to give ideas and draw concepts. Just let me know what you have in mind and I'll be on it pretty quickly.

Also i'm happy to show some nice new vegetations assets recently made! I'm sure you will instantly recognize some of Rayman 1 forest

Re: Rayman - AFG
Very impressive! Good to see a fan game that's actually making progress.
Re: Rayman - AFG
Thanks for your support THEdragon, Raymanni and Hunchman.
Maybe we'll release a new beta for christmas!

Re: Rayman - AFG
Will there be something Christmas themed in beta?
Re: Rayman - AFG
Very nice progress over there
! I wonder if it is intentional that the moustache of the Livingstone is short (I don't want to be picky either by the way!). I also like your version of the Hunter bullets.

Ehe i'll think about it!Will there be something Christmas themed in beta?
Yes it is, but maybe it will be redesigned. I thought of adding some mumbling sounds effect too to make the character even more grumpy, could be funny.Very nice progress over there!
